Review of Marriage Counseling from a Stripper Pole (A Ravenwood Circle Story #1) by T. Lee Alexis

Genre: Erotic Romance

Book Length (Est.): 83 Pages

Book Description/Synopsis:

Eva Ravenwood is a desperate woman. She’s desperate in the way a lot of women are, locked in a marriage with a man she loved but now cannot stand. How Eva breaks the confines of her life is a truly surprising story, by turns shocking and arousing, searing and emotional, unexpected and deeply satisfying.

When she and her husband Peter opened The Lancaster, an opulent bar and restaurant facing the beauty of the Chicago shoreline, it felt like a dream come true. But three years into the business, Peter is a lost to his work and Eva is alone. What is the point of working hard to do well when the price is the happiness she and Peter were trying to secure?

Fresh from seeing her friends and neighbors tearing their lives in half with divorce, heartbreak and sorrow, Eva is set on saving her marriage in the most shocking way imaginable.

Through it all she must contend with fantasies which would tear apart Peter and wreck their remaining happiness forever. Those fantasies start with darkly handsome young bartender named Jeremy…

What follows is a decision to deal with a common dilemma with a most uncommon solution. The sizzling effects spread far beyond Eva and Peter, into their circle of friends, employees and acquaintances until many men and women, young and old, find their lives changed from one decision at the center of the Ravenwood Circle.

Warning: This title contains graphic sexual situations and is intended only for adults over 18 years of age. It contains situations of notions of infidelity, bisexuality, scenes set in a gentleman’s club (strip club) and an examination of an unconventional way to deal with marriage problems.

Jennifer’s Review:

*I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review*

Eva and Peter have a marriage like most. Work and responsibilities seem to take up more and more time, not leaving that much for each other anymore. What make them different is the strength of their love for each other and their willingness to do whatever’s necessary to keep their marriage from falling back into the rut it had been.

Your spouse is supposed to be the one person you can share all of your dreams with, including your sexual fantasies, without judgment, but truth is most of those fantasies stay hidden in in fear of judgment and conflict. If more people followed their fantasies like Evan and Peter learn to do then there would probably be a lower divorce rate.

Then again, maybe some fantasies should be left unspoken. Guess I’ll have to keep reading to find out how adding a little spice works for their relationship. Onto Married Couple Seeks Girlfriend.

My Confession: I should not have read this knowing my husband was out of town, because now all I can think about is ravishing him in a “marriage counseling” kind of way. If anything, it should make for an interesting video chat tonight after the kids are asleep.

My Favorite Moment: When the realization hits Eva, that getting what she wants only makes her want her husband more, instead of the less she was worried about.

Overall, I give this 5 stars!
