Book Description/Synopsis:

Ever hear of wanderlust?

Every other weekend, Stella buys a ticket on the next flight out of town and leaves her life behind. Home is a place with too many memories, and departure is the sweetest possible distraction.

As soon as she arrives at her destination, Stella visits the airport bar. She orders a drink and waits for the right guy to come along. A bored businessman, a backpacker, a baggage handler just off shift. If he’s into a hot, no-strings hookup, he’s perfect. Each time is a thrilling escape from reality that gives the term layover a whole new meaning.

When Stella meets the enigmatic Matthew in Chicago one weekend, she hits some serious turbulence. Something about him tells her she’s not the only one running from the past. The connection between them is explosive, and for the first time, one taste is not enough for Stella. But returning to find a gorgeous man waiting for her is the easy part—facing the reason she’s there is a whole other matter….

Mindy’s Review:

*I received an ARC of this book free from NetGalley on behalf of Harlequin in exchange for an honest review*

When Stella flies she dresses up, changes her hair and loves to wear her red lipstick. No matter where she flies her first stop is always the airport bar. When the right man comes along she becomes a very confident woman, leaving her past behind for a no strings attached hook up.

Stella is a single mom to a sixteen year old son, with an ex-husband that tends to forget his responsibility sometimes.

When Stella flies to Chicago on a business trip she finds herself in the airport bar when the bad weather cancels all flights, and she is unable to get back home until the next day. Being on a business trip means Stella is her true self and really not looking for a hook up.

When she meets Matthew and instantly feels a connection her world will turn upside down. Can two broken people fix each other? Stella is determined to find out but is she willing to open her heart and accept the relationship for what it is?

Flying is a very entertaining book with a very confident woman that knows what she wants. The author makes you live in the feelings, the happiness, sadness and lust. Once I started reading this I had a very hard time putting it down. I had to know how this was going to play out for Stella. If you love a romance that you really have to work for, this is the right book for you.

My Favorite Moment: My favorite moment was when Matthew decided to face his fears (in a different way) and show up at Stella’s front door to lay it all on the line.
