Jennifer’s Review:

*I received this book free from Mark My Words Book Publicity in exchange for an honest review*

I have to start out my review by saying that it was originally part of a blog tour, but it was canceled after I read the book and I still feel obliged to write my review. I can say that very poor editing made this extremely difficult to read, but I can also say that it is currently being re-edited so hopefully readers will be able to concentrate more on the storyline instead of trying to figure out if they read the last sentence incorrectly or if it really made no sense at all.

Toni is a doctor and seemed to be a pretty good one until Ben, aka Nurse Hero, shows up and then she begins hesitating. And hesitation from a doctor is not a good thing. Neither is flirting with the new nurse and going home with him the first night, and yet she does it anyway.

Ben has entirely too many secrets, but they slowly come out into the open as he and Toni get closer. He’s a sweet guy and it’s hard not to like him, but the way he speaks and responds to questions drove me insane. I understand that it’s just part of his characteristics, but I sometimes felt as if he seemed almost robotic.

This is a short book and the plot is okay, but when I finished it I didn’t get the urge to hurry out and buy the next one. And that’s saying a lot because it ends on one heck of a cliffhanger.

If you like books about vampires, witches, and demons then you may enjoy this, but I suggest waiting for the re-edited version due out in May or June.

My Favorite Quote: “I feel myself wanting to get closer to you, be with you, and somehow make you love me.”
