One night of shadows. One night of bliss. One night when it all falls apart.
Katherine Regina Vandercamp has everything. Wealth. Beauty. Social standing. She’s the heiress to the Vandercamp fortune and engaged to the man of her dreams. One night it all shatters…
Finding her fiancé with another woman, she is distraught and makes a reckless decision to go with a friend to a sex club. Needing total anonymity, she has sex with a stranger in a room of total darkness, a sensuous cocoon of silky shadows. She has no idea who this man is or what he looks like. But it is in the shadows she finds solace. In the shadows she finds bliss.
She can’t forget this stranger’s touch, his taste, his scent. He infiltrates her dreams and holds her thoughts and body captive. But has she made a false assumption about her fiancé? Was he truly unfaithful? She regrets her hasty actions and is tormented by guilt. She is determined to marry the man she loves and forget her stranger.
Sinister events unfolded at the sex club. There was a gruesome murder and her stranger has been charged with the crime. Katie knows he’s innocent because she was with him at the time of the murder. She is more shocked to find that he’s not a stranger after all. What will she do? Will she reveal her horrible secret? Will she besmirch the Vandercamp name? Will she risk losing the man who has her heart to save the man who’s touched her soul?
Her life is in turmoil. All because of that one night.
A night that was wrapped in shadows…

I absolutely loved this book. The first chapter had me hooked. Yes, Kay walked in on her fiancé with his ex. And yes, she decides to say screw him and go to a sex club with her best friend, who frequently attends. But OMG I laughed so freaking hard when she was taken into the first room. Nothing like a large man in a mask and torture looking devices to make a girl feel welcome to a new place. Though the room she was taken to second turned out to be just the steamy interlude she needed.
“This isn’t your scene. You’re the hopeless romantic, the knight-in-shining-armor kind of girl. You want love and romance, not whips and chains and butt-plugs!”
Kay ‘Katherine’ may have been raised in wealth, but she finds comfort in helping others…not being a snob like her family. Her family’s money means nothing to her, all she’s interested in is running the foundation and helping those who need it. She’s sweet and loveable and when she finds a man who causes her to have “throat issues” it’s exciting, because after her ex she deserves it.
“Oh, shit…breathe…breathe…you know…that thing you do with your lungs so you don’t die! In…out…in…out…”
Josh, her ex, seems almost bipolar. He can be so sweet when he’s taking care of her, but then his anger issues sometimes take over and watch out! Question is: is he man she believes him to be?
Luke hasn’t been able to think about anything since his night cloaked in darkness with a woman who still invades his dreams. He’s memorized her scent, her taste, and her voice, so when he hears it again, in public, he can’t believe it, and he wants nothing more than to be with her again.
“I couldn’t wait, Kay. Since our night together, I’ve been craving you almost every moment of the day. I’ve tasted you, touched you, and had you so many times and ways in my head that if I don’t make it a reality, I’ll lose my mind.”
This isn’t your typical love triangle. Oh no! Add in deceit, betrayals, and murder. Wrapped in Shadows is a steamy and intriguing story that hooks you from page one.
My Favorite Quote: “Oh, God…breathe… He’s so hot… Would it be totally psycho if I wrapped myself around his body and climbed him like he was a flag pole?”
My Favorite Moment: I, of course, loved the night Kay and Luke shared in darkness, but my favorite was the night Kay baked cookies. It was sweetly perfect and it ended with an explosion…or two…or three.
