Genre: Contemporary Romance

Book Length (Est.): 194 Pages

Book Description/Synopsis:

Former beauty queen Becky Holmes and her baby are on the run from her dangerous ex. With her dreams of love and marriage destroyed, she’ll do anything to protect her child…even agree to hide out in her boss’s cousin’s house while he’s away.

Wealthy, sexy, and emotionally haunted Logan Knight needs a temporary wife to get his land, per his dad’s rules. No wife, no inheritance. But when that wife lands on his doorstep and comes with a baby, his darkest memories are triggered. He tries to keep his distance, but his efforts are shattered when he starts to have real feelings for his fake wife and child.

Just as Logan begins to think he may have a future with Becky, his attempt to have it all backfires into a betrayal that forces Becky into a heart-wrenching choice no woman should ever have to make.

Jennifer’s Review:

*I received this book free from NetGalley on behalf of Entangled Publishing, LLC in exchange for an honest review*

Logan needed a wife. Becky needed a way to keep her daughter safe. Together they used each other to obtain their goals. But one thing happened along the way that changed the game…feelings developed. You can’t help who you fall in love with, no matter how broken they are.

Their arrangement was meant to be temporary, neither wanted more…until one day they did. Too bad someone interferes with those untold desires and forces Becky and Sofie into something she doesn’t want, but can’t think of any other way besides accepting since her other option is not really an option at all.

I loved the emphasis on family in Her Temporary Hero. It’s not only about Logan and Becky, who are so hot together the pages could catch fire, but also Sofie and their families. I enjoyed all the “Sofie and Aunt Pam” moments, even when Sofie was only watching her ride. They added a sweet side to the story, balancing out the intensity shared between Logan and Becky.

My Favorite Laughable Moment: When Becky asks Logan how he feels about his father and his two word answer opens up for her hilarious response.

My Favorite Moments: There are these moments when Logan acts more like a real husband instead of the fake one he’s supposed to be, and I loved those moments!
