Review of First, Last, Only… by James Craigmiles

First Last Only

Genre: Love & Romance

Book Length (Est.): 282 Pages

Book Description/Synopsis:

Chase is an aspiring actor living in Hollywood. Jennifer is an almond-eyed beauty from a wealthy family. When the two are introduced, they quickly realize that there is a lot more electricity between them than can be found on the Sunset Strip.

When someone from Jennifer’s past threatens to steal their future away, the two must wrestle with decisions that they make. Decisions that will determine not only the rest of their lives, but ultimately that will test their love for one another.

In this narrative by Chase, he tells of the events that have landed him in a lonely hospital room in California. Events that have made him face his greatest fears, while at the same time following his biggest dreams.

Jennifer’s Review:

*I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review*

Chase is a Midwestern country boy who firmly believes in doing the right thing. You’d think that because of that he’d have some majorly good karma stored up, but he doesn’t. He falls in love with a woman who repeatedly and very cruelly breaks his heart, he finds himself jobless and homeless on more than one occasion, and even heartbroken he seems to find his way back into civilization.

This isn’t your typical romance novel. This is more of a life’s journey; one filled with very supportive family and friends. To be honest, it kind of reminded me of a well written diary or journal. If you like being pulled into a story, then this probably isn’t something for you. However, if you like following someone else’s journey and seeing how they discover the path they were meant to be on, then this is definitely the book for you.

My Favorite Moment: The ending. It took a lot of love and courage for her to show up and say the things she did.
