Blog Tour: Review of A Lil’ Less Lost (The Kingsmen MC #2) by Tara Oakes

A Lil Less Lost

Heartbreaking and Heartwarming all rolled into one!

Genre: Romance, Suspense, MC Romance

Book Length (Est.): 150 Pages

Book Description/Synopsis:

***WARNING*** This novella is intended for those 18+ of age and contains strong language, sexual content, adult situations and is a direct continuation of its prequel ‘A Lil’ Less Lost’.

Do fairytale’s always have a happily ever after? Jay and Lil’s had just found the love they once shared and foolishly lost. But, a horrific turn of events threatens to end it forever. Jay must race against time to save his ol’ lady Lil’s and their baby before tragedy strikes.

In this sequel we learn more about Jay, the deep love he has for his soulmate, and just how far he is willing to go to protect her.

This novella is approx. 50,500 words and does not contain a cliffhanger ending like it’s prequel. However, an epic love story like Lil’s and Jay cannot possibly be wrapped up in two tidy little novella’s… now can it?

Jennifer’s Review:

*I received an ARC of this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review*

This begins right where Lil’ Less Broken left off…and thank goodness for that. A lot of this book is told from Jay’s POV, but also adds in POVs from Lil’s, Charlie, and Clink. I didn’t really care for the POV from Clink and Charlie, but can see how they’re there to set up for book three, which by the way I cannot wait to read.

Lil’ Less Broken left off with Lil’s missing, a dead girl in the morgue that luckily wasn’t her, and a positive pregnancy test left sitting on the bathroom counter. Talk about one hell of a cliffhanger.

Jay refuses to let anything happen to Lil’s. He knows the action of going to war with a rival MC would need to be voted on and brothers from other charters would need to come in, but that took time he wasn’t willing to give. He’d get her back, even if it meant going against what the President, aka his father, wanted.

“If I couldn’t save her, then I had no reason left to live. He was a father, desperate to find his child and keep her safe. Little did he know, so was I.”

Lil’s sees more than she ever could have imagined while in the grasp of the Slayers, but she can’t afford to lose it. After all, it’s not only herself she has to worry about. Luckily for her, sometimes brotherhoods aren’t as close as they should be, and she finds an unlikely ally amongst the enemies.

Jay will get his Lil’s back, but the Slayers weren’t the only threat to the club. There’s a mysterious newcomer, Charlie, who isn’t exactly what she appears to be. She’s got ulterior motives, but Clink is confusing her body and mind with his unyielding charm, and might turn out to be a game changer for her. Guess I’ll have to wait for book three to find out how this will play out.

My Favorite Moment: Butch might not have always been the perfect father, but his love shows through when she comes up missing. I loved his little talk with Jay at the hospital.

My Favorite Aww Moment: When Jay and Lil’s take a trip down memory lane to the place where he first told her he loved her. Perfect!

“Baby… this is where I told you for the first time that I loved you. I loved you for a long time before that and every moment since.”
