Lil’s and Jay lived their very own fairytale biker romance. He was her first love, her only love. She was what he needed, what he wanted.
Insecurities, fear and misconceptions lead Lil’s to make a heartbreaking decision to abandon that life and love behind, before it consumes and destroys her as it did her mother years earlier.
But… moving on isn’t so easy when you are deeply connected to your past.
When Lil’s finds herself in a whirlwind of danger her knight in shining armor, er…, her badass biker on a Harley bails her out. But at what cost?
*I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review*
I haven’t quite decided if I like the flashbacks, but I do know I really enjoyed the book…minus the cliffhanger ending that is.
Jay is the VP of The Kingsmen MC and he worked damn hard to get there. He has only one thing missing in his life, the girl who walked out on him two years ago. But sometimes good things can come from bad things.
“I know you’re not sleeping baby…but you sure are cute when you pretend to be.”
Lil’s thought she had good reasons for walking away from Jay, but turns out things aren’t always what they seem. Two years later she sneaks back into town for her best friend’s bachelorette party, gets in a fight, and ends up hostage of a rival MC. Not exactly the night she had planned. Neither is the fact her father, brother, and ex show up with a few other family members to negotiate her release.
Lil’s didn’t really like the terms of her release, but she wasn’t exactly fighting against them either. She still loved Jay and the more time they spend together the stronger their bond will become. However, enemies don’t lay low for long and when an opportunity arises they waste no time in striking, leaving Lil’s at their mercy and Jay at the end of his rope.
“I’m so sorry… I had no choice.”
Lil’ Less Broken captured my interest from the beginning and held it through ’til the end. It mixes the love of two people, the violence of rival MCs, and the support only family can provide. It’s a great read and I can’t wait to start the next book!
My Favorite Laughable Moment: When Lil’s calls to talk to Sunny and interrupts their goodbye.
“You are a goddamned animal Tiny! I cannot believe you just said that to your own sister. Tell Sunny to call me back when you’re done molesting her.”
My Favorite Moment: When Jay informs Lil’s of the arrangements he had to do for her release and what that now meant for her.
