Book Length (Est.): 274 Pages
Half-Life bassist Krist Mellas is caught in a PR nightmare after his dirty sex video blew up online. His agent has the solution: a fake engagement with sultry pop princess Madeline Fox. Krist can’t think of anything worse than a charade with the bubblegum bombshell…except losing the band.
Madeline knows better than anyone what it means to live a lie in the spotlight. She’s determined to help Krist without ever letting him find out what it costs her—or about her girlhood crush on him. But after a smoking hot back alley encounter with him leaves her breathless, she can’t deny she wants the snarling bad-boy rocker.
In a world of glitter and diamonds where the kisses are fake but the climaxes are real, their facades start to crack. And the publicity storm may shatter them both.
WARNING: This book contains a scorching threesome, a dirty talking pop princess, and a surly rocker who hits all the right notes.

After reading Lock and Hailey’s story in Three Nights with a Rock Star I couldn’t wait to see what was in store for Krist. My heart broke for him in the first book and he deserved a happily ever after.
Madeline is the one who staged a paparazzi dream just to get them off of Lock, Hailey, and Krist’s elevator video gone public. She’d done it for reasons no one would have expected and the perk was getting to see Krist again. She’d never tell him, but she’s followed his career forever and was secretly a fan.
“If she’d thought his frown was hot, that smile was a fucking wildfire. It lit her nerve endings one after the other, spreading over her skin and stealing her air.”
Krist thought he was in love with Lock, but when he realized his best friend would never love him the same way it broke his heart. But Lock had Hailey and when push came to shove all Krist wants is for Lock to be happy. Now all he has to do is figure out how to be happy himself.
“The power in her vocals, the edge behind the lyric, knocked him more off balance. He’d expected her to lip sync. He’d expected her to fucking suck.”
When Krist and Madeline are pushed into a fake engagement things heat up pretty quickly. Might as well enjoy the perks of being engaged! They learn each other’s likes, dislikes, strengths, and weaknesses and in doing so the walls they’ve each erected slowly fall.
“I’m an artist and she’s a…a…pretty little windup toy for the record label.”
I enjoyed this story. It added a twist to the characters I fell in love with in book one. The ménage scene definitely wasn’t as hot as the elevator one in the first book, but it was emotional in a way that’s difficult to explain.
One Kiss with a Rock Star brings together a pouty pop princess diva and a sulking sexy rock star in a manner that’ll leave you smiling and wanting more.
My Favorite Laughable Moment: Madeline’s dress and Krist’s reaction once he sees it. I loved how he twined his answer into a fairytale story she’s surely known and would be able to understand the similarities.
“That’s not a dress. That’s a yard of lace and glitter glue.”
My Favorite Moment: Tattoo bonding. It came with humor, sweetness, and a deeper connection.
