Blog Tour: Review of Perfect Chaos (Unyielding #1) by Nashoda Rose

Perfect Chaos

A whirlwind of love and deceit!

Genre: Romance, Suspense

Book Length (Est.): 248 Pages

Book Description/Synopsis:

I lie to survive.

Have since I was sixteen and my world fell into chaos. But I found a way to endure, or rather it found me. Now I’m a prisoner of my own doing, hiding behind a false mask so no one sees the truth. Not even the man I want but can’t have—Deck. But I messed up and the lies are spilling over, out of control.

Deck is unrelenting and will settle for nothing less than the truth. He demands everything from me—EVERYTHING—even if it rips me apart.

I kill for a living.

Unyielding—It’s how I survive in my line of work. I bend people to my will…except Georgie.

But that ends now.

I’ve played her game for far too long, but not anymore. Now I think it’s time we play mine.

*18+ due to sexual content, strong language and violence.

Jennifer’s Review:

*I received an ARC of this book free from NetGalley on behalf of the author in exchange for an honest review*

Georgie’s life hasn’t been the same since that dreadful knock on her front door. She knew the sound of Deck’s footsteps without having to look and knew what he was there to tell her…that her world would forever be shattered, that her brother was never coming home again. After that everything took a drastic turn into a downward spiral.

“You going to kiss me, Deck? Or just stand there and get my panties wet then walk away.”

After losing his best friend Deck spent the following two years overseas in combat and every moment after that looking after Georgie whether she wanted him to or not. She wasn’t acting like the girl he’d always known and he wasn’t about to lose her, not after already losing her brother. He’d just have to figure out what the hell was going on with her first.

“Baby, come back to me. Stop pretending. Stop hiding. Trust me.”

The love story between Deck and Georgie was pretty standard and expected, but that does not make it any less interesting. I loved their relationship. I loved how she always made everything sexual when it came to him, even if he did repel her come-ons at every turn. I loved how he took care of her even when she didn’t want him to. However, when the whirlwind of deceit that their lives have unknowingly been wrapped up in comes crashing down on them everything will change, but at least now they’ll have each other to lean on.

Perfect Chaos is a suspenseful read with just the perfect amount of romance. It’ll pull you in and keep you turning the pages. Downside…CLIFFHANGER ENDING! You will definitely be left wanting book two, Perfect Ruin, coming sometime in 2015.

My Favorite Laughable Moment: When Georgie’s head is in candy land.

“Head’s not straight. It’s kind of in the candy land right now.”

His brows rose. “Candy land?”

“Yeah, you know, sexy, sweet fantasy. You’re my candy land. Finally I’m getting to taste it and I want more.”

My Favorite Moment: I loved the tension and passion and anger when Deck finally takes Georgie.
