*I received an ARC of this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review.* I loved the snippets of this story in Stone: At Your Service and I was so glad when Rie decided to turn it into a full length book. I got a little nervous when at the beginning it stated that there had been some minor changes, but it was for nothing. All my favorite parts where in there and many, many more to boot. Jase has an image that follows him. He’s nowhere near the person everyone thinks he is, but he’d be stupid to try and change his well-known reputation. Avery is sweet and adorable and she ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time…a fate that changed her outlook on life and ended her up on the doorstep of Jase Everly. She didn’t want to be around another sexy playboy type, but he doesn’t take no for an answer. She needs a place to stay and he suddenly wants her there more than anything ever before. They are each hiding a secret that will ultimately change the other’s perspective of them, but sometimes there’s a chemistry just too explosive to ignore. Ride: In Between the Covers is filled with a playful humor that overrides any of their negative pasts. I enjoyed reading it and wished there had been more. Turning a page and seeing Epilouge when you’re just getting involved kind of sucked, but it’s still a great read. This is part of the Carolina Bad Boys series, but is a complete standalone. If you read the first book, you’ll definitely want to read this one. And if you haven’t read it’s predecessors then don’t worry because the characters in here are completely separate from the first two books. My Favorite Moment: Jase – Avery – Bathtub…OMG! I wasn’t sure if I should be turned on or laugh. My Favorite Laughable Moment: Jase is such a sweetheart, he takes such great care of Avery’s things…even when packing her stuff for her. Her payback to help settle the tension afterwards…priceless! “So, I bet you’re wondering what I’m wearing under these?” *Clicking on the book cover above will take you to the Amazon purchase page.
