Let your inner dragon soar!
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Book Length (Est.): 132 Pages
In the Gladium Province, the boundaries between humans and Morgons, the dragon-hybrid race, continue to blur as a new generation surrenders to long-forbidden temptation…
Sorcha Linden does whatever she wants whenever she wants, and no one can stop her. Least of all a man. After all, they’re good for only one thing—warming her bed. But then she meets Lorian, brother of Lucius Nightwing. Seductive and iron-willed, Lorian is determined to melt her emotional defenses—and warm her rebellious heart.
The beast within Lorian longs to cage Sorcha and mark her as his own. Forever. Yet the man within also longs to protect her. When a stalker starts leaving Sorcha suggestive gifts with cryptic messages bearing an ancient blood cult symbol, Lorian’s dragon side takes over. With her life at stake, Sorcha can no longer deny the love they share. But when evil tracks her into the night, will she be too late to claim it?

Did I love this book as much as the first? Definitely!
Sorcha is a woman whose mouth has no filter. She says and does whatever the hell she wants. But at the same time she isn’t rude or mean, she’s caring and adventurous, and no one really knows how to handle her…except Lorian.
Lorian is a sexy Morgon whose dragon lies much closer to the surface than others of his kind, so much so that his eyes are different colors, but it’s also the reason Sorcha is drawn to him like no one before. He’s strong, persistent, and an alpha in every way.
Together they are building a new nightclub that will be designed for both humans and Morgons, a first of its kind. Everything is running as smoothly as it can with two alpha personalities at the helm, but then Sorcha becomes the target of unwanted attention and Lorian becomes almost scarily protective.
Windburn is an absorbing and quick read. It is book 2 in the Nightwing series, but can be read as a standalone, although I suggest reading Soulfire first as it’s also a great book.
My Favorite Laughable Moment: The prologue was hilarious. I could so imagine me saying the same thing about Morgon men that Sorcha says to her mother.
My Favorite Moments: I love how intently Lorian pursues Sorcha and how everything he does only makes her want him more. My favorite is when he explains why his scent is on her. Now that was an “oh hell” moment.
