Scoring His Heart

Talk about scorching the sheets!!

Genre: Contemporary Romance, Romantic Suspense

Book Length (Est.): 216 Pages

Book Description/Synopsis:

Zoe Logan has always believed that those she loves will always leave her. It’s why she fights so hard against anyone getting close, but when sexy defense Gavin Ferrara zeroes in on her, she finds herself falling hard and exploring the hidden parts of herself that he brings out in her.

Gavin’s always trusted that playing hockey is the most important thing to him. But when a strange encounter from months ago leads to more between him and the local bar owner’s daughter, he’s torn between what he wants and what’s best.

WARNING: This book contains a threesome hot enough to scorch the sheets, a dirty talking Russian, a bisexual Italian, the college virgin who brings both of them to their knees, and the best anatomy and physiology study session ever.

Mindy’s Review:

*I received this book free from Barclay Publicity in exchange for an honest review*

Zoe Logan works at The Penalty Box, a bar her father owns. This also happens to be where the hockey players hang out when they are in town. She is only nineteen, sweet and innocent but she has her eyes on one of the star players.

Gavin Ferrara is a star hockey player for the Texas Highlanders. Sharing girls with his best friend and teammate Misha seems to get him through his days of being lonely. But does he have feelings for his best friend? Getting caught by the one and only Zoe means he will have to face her and talk to her about what she ran in on. But once he really gets to know her he will have to make a choice.

This was a great, hot and scorching read for me. The main characters have to face real feelings and what they want for their future along with dealing with the past.

With that being said I thought there would be a little more hockey action. There are a few practices that are detailed but other than that the game days just kind of go by. The author does state that all of the books in the series can be read as standalones, I happen to disagree with this. This is the first book in the series that I have read and I was left with some unanswered questions. I feel that maybe if I read the first two books in the series I would know the characters a little more. It overall felt really fast paced.

My Favorite Moment: I loved how Gavin could always make Zoe’s mind feel at ease. Yes, you have to read to find out.
