Rock My Heart!
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Book Length (Est.): 132 Pages
As the guitarist for the rock band Caged, I know the rules: no relationships. No complications. Leave ‘em smiling when you go, but always go. Besides, it’s not like I’m ever in one place for more than a few days at a time. As the next hottest thing out of Austin, the band and me are riding the wave, and the music is all that matters.
Lily Tennison has “complication” written across her beautiful face. But I can’t get involved. The timing’s all wrong. But she’s under my skin, and I can’t resist her troubled eyes and sweet smile. And I do have a little time to kill. Not much, just a few days in Dallas.
So I’ll scratch the itch and move on, like I always do.
Note: You won’t need to turn up the heat—Sixth Street Bands Romances have plenty of steamy fun. This story can be read as a stand-alone but is part of the Sixth Street Bands music scene.

Gone For You is the first book in the Sixth Street Band series and it definitely gets off to one hell of a start. Spoiled musician meets smartass girl who he can’t resist…hard to go wrong with that. Add in humor, gentlemanly deeds, and steamy sex and we’ve got a winner!
You don’t find too many contemporary romance books told strictly from the man’s perspective, but this one is, and I have to admit I really enjoyed it.
Cameron has been involved with music since a young age. He might not like how he got started playing, but he does love the music…and the girls. After their manager pushes a little too hard he and the other band members hide out at a more private hotel, one without a million fans loitering about. However, this one has something much worse than an overload of women, it has her.
“Before you get all starry eyed, you should know I haven’t had a girlfriend since the eleventh grade. So I probably suck at it.”
Lily had it all and then gave it up to follow her dreams. Now busy working two jobs and going to school she doesn’t have the patience to deal with arrogant musicians and their insane requests. But there’s just something about Cameron that she can’t shake.
“I would sit down, but these jeans are so fucking tight, I might lose the ability to procreate.”
When Lily finally gives in to Cameron she’ll fall into something she never wanted nor expected. For Cameron it’s the scariest thing in the world…wanting a woman to stay around so he didn’t miss a single moment with her.
This was a quick read. It had a storyline and characters that captured my attention to where I didn’t want to put it down. Give me sweet sexy rock stars any day of the week! The only downside for me was there wasn’t really anything highlightable. Not too much stood out to the point I had to highlight it so I wouldn’t forget it.
My Favorite Moment: I love how Cameron stands up for Lily at the theatre.
My Favorite Laughable Moment: I don’t which I laughed at more…the moment where Cameron checks out his new wardrobe or when he actually wears it.

Author Jayne Frost:
I guess I should start with the basics. The backstory. I was born and raised in California. At this point I’m usually asked what it was like to grow up near the beach, but sadly, I don’t know. I grew up in the “other” part of California. Perfect for an aspiring writer, if you ask me. You learn a lot about keeping yourself busy when the nearest house is a mile away…and it belongs to your grandparents.
By the time I went to high school, I started writing romance. Why? Because I met my very own prince charming. I wrote love poems in my journal about the green eyed boy that stole my heart. He promised, the way all storybook hero’s do, to sweep me away and take me on a grand adventure. And he did. We picked up and moved to the Lone Star State, and began the story of us. The best stories begin without a road map or a compass. Veering off course makes the journey so much more interesting.
True to form, just when I thought my life was set, we started the next adventure. I traded in my cowboy boots and followed my green eyed boy to Las Vegas. My home will always be in Texas, but my heart is anywhere that he is.
Writing is what I love. I might stray from the romance every now and then if that is what moves me…but I always come back. Some of the stories don’t seem romantic at all. They are gritty stories about flawed characters that find each other and hold on tight. Those are the stories that speak to me. Because that’s life. I believe that every story should have a happy ending- even the difficult ones.
