Every twist and turn, every loose end including ones I never would have thought about, and every question I wanted to ask throughout the first two books is answered in Unforgiven.
This book picks up right where Awaken left off. Sophia is in Haven Hurst trying to mask what has happened to everyone including Michael and Ka is in Hell with Dante. So much happens and I don’t want to give any of it away, so I’ll try…
I have a love/hate relationship with Dante. He’s a Demon Knight so I shouldn’t like him, but he’s just such a romantic at heart that I can’t help but feel bad for him. He might go about things completely the wrong way, but his reasons for doing them kind of broke my heart.
Ka is her own force to be reckoned with. I’m just going to say that I don’t like her very much at all.
Michael is at the point where he knows what he wants and nothing will stop him from obtaining it. No obstacle will be put in front of him that he’ll not storm through or find a way around. He’ll step up and not back down.
Sofia, always the independent go-getter, finds herself in over her head in yet another situation, but as always she won’t back down. She is forever the fighter and in the end you’ll find out why.
Unforgiven has a wonderful storyline. It’s crammed full of layers upon layers of… Are you serious? That’s why that happened? WOW! …scenarios. Only downside for me was the continued and very detailed descriptions of Hell. I can see why they were there, and they do paint one hell of a mental picture, but after a while I was over it and just wanted to hit the fast forward button.
My Favorite Laughable Moment: It cracked me up when Sofia told Michael that spirit walkers must remain chaste. He had the perfect reaction.
My Favorite Moments: Cloud surfing! And when Michael stands up to Armaros, refusing to be left out of something more important to him than anything else.
