Henry

Ecstasy vs Willpower!

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Book Length (Est.): 232 Pages

Book Description/Synopsis:

Henry Beck, the gorgeous CEO of an advertising company, was in need of a new personal assistant. He expected HR to hire someone older, more experienced, maybe even with gray hair. Who he got instead was the beautiful, young, single mother – Claire Russell. A woman who he is having a hard time keeping his eyes off of…

Claire never expected her new boss to be the most gorgeous man she’s ever laid eyes on. She also never expected him to be sweet to her two year old son, Ethan. But Henry is her boss and there is no future with him. Or so Claire thinks…

Will Henry and Claire be able to fight the obvious attraction between them? Will Henry’s overbearing mother come between them? Or will a freak accident change their perspectives on life and what’s most important.

Jennifer’s Review:

*I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review*

Claire is a single mother of a two year old. She lucks out and somehow gets a job being a personal assistant to whom she assumes is some old CEO type. She couldn’t have been more wrong. Henry is sexy and intimidating and she can’t help but crush on her boss.

Henry didn’t need another relationship, his last one was bad enough, and he definitely did not need to be drooling over his new assistant. From day one he couldn’t help but treat her differently than his previous assistants because she was different and he found himself caring if he hurt her feelings. She was adorable and sweet and he just couldn’t control himself or his emotions when it came to her.

What neither could have expected was a surprise drop in that led to Henry bonding with an adorable two year old. After that it was pretty impossible to ignore the feelings each was developing, even if because of their working arrangement could have been disastrous. But after a terrifying accident Henry and Claire’s bond will grow and nothing will be able to tear apart something so strong.

Henry is a fairly quick and fun read. It jumps forward through the book, but only in small bursts of time so you don’t feel like you missed too much. I do like how Sebastian is introduced personally through the story so that you feel like you already know him and makes it so you can’t wait to read his story next.

My Favorite Moment: I loved how Claire not only defended Henry to his mother, but also had no problem stepping in to help save Sebastian when he needed it too. It takes a strong woman to stand up to a bully of a man’s mother.

My Favorite Laughable Moment: After Claire’s date, or rather in the middle of her date, when she runs into Henry…the rest of that evening had me feeling bad for Henry and Sebastian, but also laughing so hard at their reactions. It was hilariously perfect.
