Review of Nightbloom (Nightwing #3) by Juliette Cross

Now that’s a reward worth fighting for!

Genre: Paranormal Romance

Book Length (Est.): 151 Pages

Book Description/Synopsis:

The love between a human and a Morgon, the dragon-hybrid race, tempts fate once more…

All her life, Ella Barrow has allowed others to make her decisions. Forced to stifle her artistic talents and stay in a loveless relationship with Clayton Kerrington, the man her mother believes to be her perfect match, Ella’s life may be safe—but it’s not her own. Paxon Nightwing, on the other hand, is anything but the safe choice.

A charming and alluring Morgon, Paxon sees Ella for the woman she truly is. His bold confidence and protective nature ignites a passion she’s never felt before. But a dark family tragedy forces their secrecy—until Clayton makes it impossible to hide their clandestine affair. Will Ella be strong enough to fight for herself at last? Or will she succumb once more and risk losing the only man she’s ever loved?

Jennifer’s Review:

*I received an ARC of this book free from NetGalley on behalf of Random House Publishing Group – Loveswept in exchange for an honest review*

Let me start by saying I love this series and the Morgon men! The way Juliette describes their wings in such intricacy is downright beautiful. She seems to always know which details to elaborate on and which ones not to. It makes the reading flow easily throughout the pages as it completely engrosses your attention.

Elle is quiet, always going along with what her boyfriend wants and never bothering to voice what she wants. That is until one night his attempts go to far, but even then she’ll still go along with the flow, and it’s not until a sight at the club will she finally snap and become the person she’s hidden away for so long.

Paxon is the ever confident type who always has Elle searching for her voice. I think he thoroughly enjoys making her tongue-tied. What he doesn’t enjoy is seeing her treated with anything less than the utmost respect she deserves…and neither does his dragon.

The one thing about a Morgon male is that they cannot walk away from the woman their dragon has deemed as mate. They may try to fight it. They may even try to stay away. But in the end they can’t deny their feelings as by then both man and dragon have fallen for their mate and will refuse to let her go.

As with the tradition of the Nightwing series Nightbloom is filled with both danger and love. From fights in the pit to romantic flights across the nighttime sky this book will keep you entertained. The only thing I didn’t like is the ending felt a little rushed. Like bam…soulfire! I did like the public apology part though.

My Favorite Moment: The collection of a prize and the last thing he says to her before letting her drive away. Paxon is one tall, dark, and handsome romantic.
