Cassie is a stuck in a failing marriage. She tries everything she can to resurrect it, but some things cannot be saved. In her last ditch attempt at rekindling the romance of her relationship she meets her favorite actor Jared, who is captivated by the lovely Cassie even though he knows she’s married. To her, she ignores the emotions running through her every time Jared is around because she’s married and not willing to even think about being unfaithful.
“I’m begging you not to hurt my baby boy. Please, think carefully about this. He’ll only ever have one heart.”
To Jared, he tries to stay away, but he cannot ignore the fire she lights inside him. He knows her husband is an idiot and he’d never try to seduce a married woman…normally, but he knows she feels the connection too which makes it impossible to ignore his desire. He’ll chase. She’ll run.
“His cover was blown, but it was all worth it because he’d just kissed Cassie.”
I have mixed feelings about this book. When I first started reading Kissing Cassie I could not put it down. I’m talking I finished half the book in a few hours. Then things kind of leveled off, there was a lot of chasing with equal parts of running away, and it took me three days to finish the second half of the book. That in no way means it’s bad, it is actually written very well, but somewhere along the way it lost my attention. There is however a nice little twist about Robert that you’ll learn toward the end that’ll make your eyes widen. I honestly did not see that one coming.
My Favorite Moment: I love kids and when they instigate a water gun fight it’s quite funny.
