The Heart Wants What The Heart Wants
Genre: Contemporary Romance, New Adult
Book Length (Est.): 282 Pages
There is something magical when best friends fall in love. Liv and Sebastian used to be inseparable until circumstances beyond their control destroyed their fairytale romance to dust.
Liv hasn’t seen Sebastian since he walked out of her life five years ago. When she accepted her internship in London, she never dreamed their paths would cross again. Not when Sebastian is a celebrity, a singer in one of the most popular boy bands of all times. Living in the same city, their worlds couldn’t be farther apart. But when two people are destined to be together, they can’t outrun fate.

Liv had her heart broken and her soul crushed the day Sebastian left without saying goodbye. She tried to move on, tried to forget him as he had obviously her, but her heart wasn’t that lucky. When an opportunity puts her in the same city as him, she doubted their paths would cross…she was wrong.
Sebastian never dealt with his parent’s death very well. He spiraled downward and fast. The stage is where he found his freedom and when he got chosen to be in the band he took it without questions. A fact that later would haunt him…contracts when not fully read could be quite a dangerous and unforgiving thing. Caught between the person his manager wanted the world to see and the one he was wasn’t the best place to be.
Sebastian seems to war with his emotions regarding Liv. He loves her, always has, but he also blames her for something that wasn’t her fault.
Liv loves Sebastian, has never stopped, but when he has a girlfriend that his fans love and a limelight she doesn’t want part of her options aren’t exactly many. Not to mention having an internship at a company that states she can’t fraternize with a costumer, no matter she’s known him forever, it doesn’t change the rules.
Wonderwall is a story about a long lost love finding its way home again. There’s a lot of love/hate emotions and actions throughout the story. Their relationship goes two steps forward and ten back. I enjoyed the story and liked the characters, including the secondary ones, but I failed to actually connect with any of them. I felt like I was reading the story and not pulled in to be part of it.
There is also a sub-story about Ryan and Lloyd mixed in a little and goodness gracious I felt bad for Lloyd, especially after everything with Ryan comes out. It would be nice to maybe see him get a happily ever after sometime in the future.
I also enjoyed the bonus scene between Oliver and Saylor and look forward to reading their story Wreck of the Day that will be coming out in 2016.
My Favorite Moment: The moment Sebastian finally realized what he needed to do and announced it to the world via the stage. It was perfectly heartwarming.
