Genre: Paranormal Romance, Ghosts
Book Length (Est.): 246 Pages
Feisty twenty-four year old Holly, or Miss Greedy as her friends call her, receives a wooden cube as a gift from an enigmatic elderly lady who happens to be her mother’s new neighbour in Lossiemouth, a small Scottish fishing town.
What she doesn’t expect, is for the cube to contain Blayne, a Spirit of Saoradh only she can see and touch. Blayne is a playful, headstrong ghost with no recollection of his human past and an ability to grant Holly’s wishes whenever she calls for him — as long as said wishes don’t raise any questions from the public that is. So a shiny new car might be out of the question, but the possibility of a flat stomach, a consistently spotless house or a perfect daily hairstyle more than make up for it.
Through their incessant banter, Holly and Blayne grow closer while fighting against their mutual attraction since they have no possible future together.
But when the painful reality of Blayne’s existence is revealed, Holly will realize that it’s not always the girl who needs to be saved.

Forever Hers isn’t your typical paranormal romance…it’s more.
Holly gets binded to Blayne (a kind of ghost/genie) without her knowledge, but it doesn’t take long for her to get used to having him around, at least not after she accepts the fact that she’s not hallucinating. She is a little creeped out by him doing ghost things like floating and hanging around upside down, but when he acts more human she’s drawn to him as if he were one.
“Was she so sexually frustrated her mind had created a handsome guy just for her? Because if it was the case, thank you mind, you did a good job.”
Blayne has been bound for a long time. He’s had a few masters…all of who slowly forgot about him or no longer needed him, leaving him to the oblivion he was sent to. Holly is different. She doesn’t treat him like the slave his shackles say he is. She treats him like a friend and even though there can never be more that friendship blossoms into something even they don’t fully understand.
“The memory of her kiss was both bliss and torture. It had been so fast, he’d had not time to enjoy her lips, and notice if they tasted sweet. God, he wanted her.”
If you’re looking for a passionate romance with a happily ever after ending this isn’t exactly the book for you, but if you want a sweet torment then this is definitely a good read. The things Blayne has to suffer because of his desire to make Holly happy are horrible. And the ends Holly will go to ensure Blayne’s health and happiness are limitless. But there’s a twist at the end that will both clench your heart and make you smile.
“How he wanted to hug her and keep her there safe in his embrace. But a puppet could never break its strings and offer anything else than entertainment and compliance to their master. So he just sat at her feet like a faithful dog.”
My Favorite Gut-Wrenching Heartfelt Moment: When Holly pleads with him to save himself I could almost feel her pain. It was definitely a powerful moment in the story and one of my favorites.
