Mindy’s Review:

*I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review*

After being in a crazy relationship with an ex that took everything from her Violet Young is finally living her dreams. Doing what she loves as a job and getting herself back together. Working at Wynne’s Kitchen has all the potential in the world for Violet. But us there room in her life for new love?

Ben Preston is in the middle of a nasty divorce. Landing a position at Wynne’s Kitchen will be his new start. Not sure what to do in a bakery he gets the training he needs from Violet. When the nasty ex starts to surface in his new life things become difficult and Ben starts to get distracted.

Violet is in aww from the minute she meets Ben. Training this handsome man that seems to be bi polar in his attitude will prove to be difficult. Violet will not throw her dreams away for anything. When Ben and Violet meet outside of work and realize there might be more to the sparks she feels in the kitchen she knows she has to keep a big secret. Seeing as there is a policy in place at Wynne’s Kitchen for no francization and if one thing is clear, Wynne stands by her policies!

I really likes this story. Ben and Violet are both going through some hard times with their ex’s. When things turn nasty they are there for each other. When Ben realizes what his flaws are in a relationship he makes a promise that it will not happen with Violet. But first thing first, he has got to figure out how to not be taken to the dry cleaners in his divorce.

My Favorite Moment: I loved the conversation between Violet and her best friend Ella.

“You certainly were the crush queen.” Ella laughed. “But it’s nice to see you back. You’re gonna go for it, right?”

“Are you out of your mind? He’s my manager!”

“There’s actually nothing wrong with dipping your pen in the company ink!”

Violet shook her head, standing up to pour herself another glass of wine.

“No, sweetie, everything is wrong with dipping in the…ugh, I don’t even want to say it!”
