Cadet vs. Trainer…DEEP
Genre: Military Romance, Sci-fi
Book Length (Est.): 294 Pages
The more lines they cross, the deeper they get…
Top cadet Lana Marsden lives by the rules. The most important rule of all: no messing around with an officer. She learned that one the hard way.
Now her only desire is to survive the grueling DEEP Training program and leave that scandalous past behind.
When she reports to Station Six amid wild rumors of erotic hazing rituals and sadomasochistic games, she’s not prepared for any of the rumors to be true—or for her insatiable attraction to Sergeant “Catch” Durant, her tattooed rebel of a trainer.
One touch from Catch, and Lana knows she’s in trouble. One night of white-hot ecstasy, and the rules melt away.
Catch knows sweet, sexy Lana is forbidden. She’s his trainee, and her overprotective brother is his best friend. But one taste and Catch knows the last woman he’s supposed to touch will be the one to bring him to his knees. Which is exactly where he wants to be…
A cadet with a secret.
An officer with a secret kink.
A whole lot of rules to be broken.
DEEP is the first full-length novel in the DEEP Series. Contains hot men (and women) in uniform, a violated Code of Conduct, and ice cream. Intended for adult readers, 18+.
*I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review*
Lana Marsden lives by a set of rules. These rules are in place for a reason. Her past. Now that she is being transferred to Station Six to go through her DEEP training she wonders if the rumors are true. She has asked her brother about them since he is a trainer at Station Six but he just tells her it is not what it seems. Lana wants to go into DEEP space once training is complete to get away from everything. Earth is just way to small for her.
Sergeant Catch is Lana’s brother’s best friend. He is also the one assigned to do Lana’s training. Everyone was warned that she was coming to that station but Catch did not realize that he would be attracted to her. Since the first day she got in trouble for bringing prohibited items on to the station he has definitely taken notice. The one thing holding him back is the promise he made to her brother.
This was a good read. However the genre states that this is military romance, I think it has a little Sci-Fi (considering they are in space and have finger chips) in there as well. The story line is good. Lots of rules get broken, friendships and jobs are put in jeopardy. But what makes a good romance is the suspense of it all. I am not one for a cliff hanger ending but I think that I just got one. It will be interesting to see where the second book takes us.
My Favorite Moment: I loved how the big brother felt he had to keep his sister safe but I also love how independent Lana is.
