Against the Wall

A Past Cannot Dictate A Future

Genre: Contemporary Romance, Suspense

Book Length (Est.): 291 Pages

Book Description/Synopsis:

Fans of Katie McGarry, Simone Elkeles, and Tammara Webber will love Against the Wall! As teenagers, they fell for each other despite the odds. But now that Eric and Meghan are all grown up, they’re reunited by fierce passion and dangerous secrets.
Eric Hernandez is the bad boy of every schoolgirl’s fantasies—and every mother’s nightmares. But after serving time for manslaughter, he’s ready to turn his life around. He just needs a chance to prove himself as a professional tattoo artist. The one thing that keeps him going is the memory of the innocent beauty he loved and left behind.

Meghan Young’s world isn’t as perfect as it looks. The preacher’s daughter is living a lie, especially now that Eric is back. Tougher, harder, and sexier than ever, he might be the only person she can trust. But there’s no telling what he’ll do to protect her if he learns the truth, and that’s a risk Meghan won’t let him take. And yet, back in the arms of the troubled boy with the artist’s soul, Meghan can’t help surrendering to the man he’s become.

Jennifer’s Review:

*I received an ARC of this book free from Random House Publishing Group – Loveswept via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review*

Eric finally escaped the gang life and all it took was a few years in prison. Now he’s out and he’s trying to go straight. A feat that’s easier said than done. Luckily he has his art, it’ll help him in the climb toward his goals. Until then, it’ll at least help him get by until then.

Meghan fell in love with Eric before he went to prison and no matter how much time goes by she’ll always be in love with him, but that didn’t stop her from trying to move on. Caught in an unhealthy relationship, heart bound to a felon, and not the slightest idea what to do about either…yeah Meghan is in for some trying times. Not to mention there’s some psycho after her best friend and he’s using her as bait.

Against the Wall is tense and thrilling. It’ll capture your heart as well as keep you wondering what will happen next.

Honestly, I read it in a day. There was just enough suspense that I didn’t want to put it down. And I still want to know who the stalker is and if Kelsea and Tank will ever hook up. Please tell me their story is coming!

My Favorite Moment: There’s nothing like a simple dance to be such a large turning point. It brings out an undeniable heat as well as a fierce rage. One dance and everything changes.
