Who wants to play naked chess?
Genre: Erotica, Humorous
Book Length (Est.): 125 Pages
Sam is smart, crazy, intense, addicted to intensity, and Alex knows it. And it annoys the hell out of her. Not that Alex would mind a little intensity. Or a lot. Four years of college and all she has to be proud of are good grades. She begs her friend Sophie for something fun, and Sophie invites Alex to dinner and chess with friends, including Sam. But dinner and chess isn’t the kind of fun Alex wants. Then Sophie drops her bomb.
“It’s strip chess, Alex.”
Sam sees Alex as a good opponent, and a good girl. How will he react if he sees the rest of her? That might be more intensity than Alex can handle.
*I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review*
Alex has an inner bad girl who has been clawing its way out for four years of college and she’s finally ready to let it out. When she lets go, she’s lets it all out in the same dedication and focus she’d used for all those years of studying. It’s not a night she or anyone will ever forget.
“My kind of scary makes people say, ‘Ooh.’ Your kind of scary makes my knees buckle.”
Discovered Mate brings laughter to new highs. I don’t think I’ve ever laughed for that much of a book. Strip chess and the dares that go with it are not only filled with humor they are imaginative, hot, and a little kinky.
The only thing I found lacking was the overall storyline, or rather the end game. There were many conversations with miscellaneous characters that would have prolonged the plot if anything developed of them, but this book pretty much only entails the activities of one night. It’s one very entertaining night, but it still would have been nice to see what happened the next day or even the next month.
I would suggest that in order to get the full entertainment value that you be familiar with yoga poses. It’ll definitely add to the imagery this book with project.
My Favorite Moments: I loved the negotiating on the outside dare. Sophie was pretty good at keeping Alex safe and negotiating the best ways to protect her, but every single negotiation had me laughing.
“She runs past you naked,” Sophie said.
“Walks,” Michael said. “Without anyone blocking her.”
