Book Description/Synopsis:

He’s struggling to connect. . . . JT McKinney lost more than his leg in a car accident that stole his dreams of pro football. Eight years later, he’s made a new life for himself far away from his old one. His business is developing cutting-edge prosthetics and he’s more than happy to turn his attention to machines instead of people. Still, he can’t shake the feeling that something’s missing.

Will they take a chance on love? . . . When JT gets the chance to help Paige’s daughter, he takes it. He never planned on the two of them tearing down his walls or teaching him to believe in himself again. Paige might not believe in happily ever afters, but JT wants more than anything to be her prince. They’ll both have to let go of the past if they want a future.

Mindy’s Review:

*I received this book free from Netgalley on behalf of Random House Publishing Group – Loveswept in exchange for an honest review*

Paige Roberts is a single mom trying to create a new life for herself and her daughter. Paige overworks to provide stability to her daughter’s life and make sure she gets everything that she needs. When she cannot figure out why her daughter does not want to wear her prosthesis a handsome man walks in willing to help.

JT McKinney lost his leg in a car accident. Not only that but he lost his girlfriend, football and a baby. Trying to overcome his past he has built a multiple billion dollar company with some friends. JT has developed cutting edge prosthesis and has buried himself in the business. Eating at a dinner has pulled his attention to a little girl that he has something in common with.

JT wants to help Casey as much as he can with her leg and unwilling to wear the prosthesis. He has an idea to have her help build her a new one. Not only does Casey have his full attention but he cannot help the way his body reacts to her mother. Knowing he should never be lucky enough to have a family of his own he knows that he is willing to do anything to protect these two.

This was the best emotional read that I have come across in a long time. The love that Paige has for her daughter is amazing. When a single man walks into their life and falls in love with both of them is magical. I would recommend this to anyone that loves a good book that can make you feel as part of the family.

My Favorite Moment: I really loved all of the moments with Casey. When she wants to say something there is no filter.
