Reclaim

Nothing Comes Easy!

Genre:  Mystery & Suspense, Contemporary Romance

Book Length (Est.): 225 pages

Book Description/Synopsis:

Nolan: Nothing’s ever come easy for me, especially not my dream job at Nash Security and Investigations. Righting wrongs is what I’m meant to do . . . except I manage to blow the very first chance I get. So why don’t they fire me on the spot? Hell, I’d fire myself if I could. Instead, my boss hands me an assignment that’s too important to screw up—and partners me with Lila Garcia, a gorgeous attorney with curves so distracting they should be illegal.

Lila: Like my client, a grieving mother charged with the murder of her own son, I know how quickly the American dream can become a nightmare. If anybody can help me clear her name, it’s Nash Security and Investigations. But Nolan Perry is a wild card. Bending the truth, breaking the law—that’s his business. I need to focus on the evidence. Not on how Nolan’s body fits so perfectly against mine. With a case this personal—and this dangerous—losing control is simply not an option . . . no matter how badly I want to give in.

Mindy’s Review:

*I received this book free from Netgalley on behalf of Random House Publishing – Loveswept in exchange for an honest review*

Nolan Perry works for Nash Security and Investigations. He seems to mess up everything he touches lately. He is handed a job that could prove someone’s innocence that has been jailed for some time now. He is partnered with a beautiful attorney that seems to have a lot of issues of her own. The one thing he knows for sure is he cannot mess this job up as someone else’s life depends on it. When he cannot keep his hands off of the attorney things seem to get complicated.

Lila Garcia has some ghosts in her closet that she wants to stay hidden. She loves he job and does it very well. Her goal is to help free an innocent woman with the help of Nash Security and Investigations. Lila knows that she cannot handle a relationship but she is willing to take what Nolan is offering at the moment. When things get complicated in the case it seems her own secrets are coming to the surface.

This is the third book in the Recovered Innocence series. This felt like a very quick read for me. I really enjoyed the characters and the way that they interacted with each other. The storyline is a little different than what I was expecting. Especially when it came to Lila’s big secret. Overall this was a good read with some very hot and intense feelings for the main characters.
