Sometimes You Need A Little Sassy In Your Life
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Book Length (Est.): 368 Pages
The Temperature Is Rising…
Firefighter Cole Everett’s life revolves around the firehouse. Committed to saving lives–and to the guys who always have his back in the most dangerous moments on the job–Cole’s focus is a coveted spot on the Fairview Rescue Squad. When his captain asks him to mentor a rookie firefighter, he jumps at the chance, hoping it will help to prove his skill. But the new “guy” is none other than Savannah Nelson, a female firefighter as stubbornly determined as Cole is, and a whole lot curvier in all the right places . . .
Savannah won’t let anyone extinguish her dream of fulfilling her family legacy and becoming a top notch firefighter–and she’s happily surprised when strong-willed, sexy Cole is willing to give her the chance she deserves. Concentrating on the job isn’t always easy when the heat between them flares higher every day, but Savannah won’t give up–not even when one of Station Eight’s veterans seems bent on trashing her reputation. To stop a string of possible arsons, Savannah and Cole will need to eliminate every distraction–but can they let their love go up in flames?
*I received an ARC this book free from Kensington Books via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review*
Cole is the epitome of a dedicated fireman. He keeps his emotions locked behind a face of steel. No one, not even his family at Station Eight, would ever imagine all the emotions he’s hidden over the years. Only Savannah can create cracks in his otherwise stoney exterior and oh how nice it is to see what’s underneath. Best part is when that exterior finally breaks into a million pieces and he spews everything to the one person who can tell him what he needs to hear.
Savannah is determined to fulfill her family legacy without doing it on their coattails. She survived the training, now she just has to survive being a rookie under Cole’s leadership. She’s sassy and her mouth often opens without the consult of her brain, but she’s fiery and I absolutely loved her.
The intense attraction between Cole and Savannah scorches the pages. How they are at the station versus not is like night and day; from car accidents and putting out fires to stolen T-shirts and sizzling showers.
Fearless is book two in the suspenseful and sexy Rescue Squad Series. With a potential arsonist on the loose, a relationship that defies fraternization house rules, and a hint of blackmail there is never a dull moment. I cannot wait to see what happens next.
My Favorite Moment: It wasn’t a big moment or even a giant turning point, but there was something about a simple text behind a half-wall that made me smile.
