Samantha Carlton walked away from her reckless mother and twin sister as a teenager. Making her way into the modeling world she never forgot the boy she left behind. Now that she is retired from the modeling world and making a new life for herself she runs a place that helps teens. She always felt bad for leaving her family and not being able to save her sister. When she comes home to find a girl in her house that looks just like her, her heart stops. She knows for sure that this is her sister’s daughter.
Trevor Kincaid has been raising a child on his own for thirteen years. Shielding her from the pain in the world and giving her a good life. The one thing that he did not expect was for her to run away in search of a woman that she believes is her mother.
Samantha is overwhelmed to find out that she has a niece after all these years. She has missed so much in her life. The one thing that shatters her the most is the girls father. Her one true love that she left behind had a baby with her twin sister and he has made sure to keep her out of the girls life in fear of the craziness that comes from the Carlton’s might catch up with his daughter. When Grace finds Samantha she wants to have a relationship with her aunt but will her father allow it?
The one thing that Samantha and Trevor know for sure is their feelings towards each other never really dissolved.
This was a really good storyline. Sometimes you have to deal with your past and let it come around full circle. Samantha has some really good friends that will back her up in any situation and an ex-love that just happens to be the father of her niece. Sometimes I felt that I was losing interest in the story but then it would grab my attention again. Overall this is a good read.
