Mindy’s Review:
*I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review*
Nicole Mason is in college and wants to become a lawyer. She keeps relationships at a distance because she was really hurt by her high school sweetheart. She has been in a relationship with Silas for a couple of years now and she likes the comfort of it. He lets her hang out with her friends as long as she goes to him at night. Nicole is not really happy she is just trying to get by with her busy school schedule and move on into the future.
Joey Carter is a new student at the school who is known for throwing the best parties and getting any woman that he wants. When he meets Nicole in class for the first time he is instantly drawn to her and he cannot figure out why. He is not knows for relationships that last more than a night. However there is something different about Nicole and becoming her friend is just the beginning.
This was a very good read. This is more of a love triangle between Nicole and two men that she cares deeply for. She happens to be a very strong woman when it comes to her career and goals. She does not want to hurt anyone but after awhile realizes that she is only hurting herself by not listening to what her heart wants. She loves Silas and wants him to be happy but she cannot control the urges she has to keep Joey in her life. She is trying to keep him in the friend zone but when Silas makes a mistake in the relationship Nicole has to decide what is best for her and her future.
I love how this story is written. You know something is going to happen but you are not sure what to expect until it actually happens. I felt as if I was actually part of Nicole as she was dealing with the decisions that she had to make. Although I am not sure why she kept going back and forth with her decisions through out the book but it made this a great read.
