He’s tortured and dark, angsty and arrogant. You want the truth? He’s kind of an A-hole.
He’s also the CEO.
Everything in my life goes according to plan, and that’s the way I like it. I got the degree. I got the job. Now I just need to prove that I have what it takes to succeed in the real world.
If there’s one thing that’s not in my plans, it’s falling in love with my boss.
Most relationships don’t start with one person calling the other out in public for being an arrogant jerk. Then again, most CEOs don’t cut their own employees in line at the coffeehouse and bark orders at people like they own the place.
Maybe pissing Oliver Cody off isn’t the right move. And now that he’s part of my world, all my plans go straight to hell.

Oliver Cody used to be the CEO of Cody Technology. The company that he helped build with his dad. Wanting to experience life a little he leaves town and everything behind. When he receives a phone call that brings him back home he learns the truth about himself. Now that he knows the truth he needs to decide if he wants to be a part of the company or not. Oliver is learning to live with the fact that he was adopted but struggles with the fact that they never told him and he had to find out by their death.
Holland O’Dell has her life planned step by step. She got a job at Cody Technology and wants to prove herself so she can get the position that she really wants. Even with all of her determination she still needs help with a report that she is working on. And that where she runs into a arrogant man at a coffee shop that is willing to lend a helping hand.
Oliver likes the fact that Holland doesn’t know who he really is. He can be himself and forget about all of the issues that he is dealing with. Helping her with her work takes him back to the parts of the job that he loved. All things seem well until he tells her his real name. Knowing that she needs his help to land an account that the company needs she decides to give him a break after all that he has been through. What she didn’t have in her plans was falling for him.
This was a fun but emotional book. I felt everything felling that Oliver and Holland felt.
