Hide. That’s all Pippa can do to escape the terror chasing her. But now that she’s off the grid in a safe house, she finds plenty of interesting things to watch through the window. Like her new neighbor, with his startling green eyes, killer smile, and sexy bad-boy tattoo . . .

Run. Malcolm West is fleeing the hell he unleashed in his last assignment as an undercover cop. A backwoods bungalow sounds like the perfect place to start over. Until he discovers he’s been set up . . .

Fight. Someone’s gone to a lot of trouble to bring them together. No matter how much he resents that, and his own driving needs, Malcolm will have to dig deep and let loose the banished killer inside himself, or Pippa’s fears could come true faster than the flip of a bolt in a lock . . .

Jennifer’s Review:

*I received an ARC of this book free from Kensington Publishing Corp via NetGalley.*

Pippa ran away from her life the day before she turned eighteen. The day before she was supposed to marry the Profit. Seven years she’s spent running and hiding. They’d tried to bring her back once, since then she’s avoided people and anywhere there could be a camera. She knew hiding wasn’t living, but anything was better than going back to the family.

Malcolm was an undercover cop and after his last job he retired to a small country house in the middle of nowhere. His only neighbor was Pippa. He thought it was perfect. Turned out to be a setup. He was too good at being undercover for someone not to want him, but he was torn about doing it again. That is until he realized he had feelings for his adorable neighbor and wanted to prove her innocence; then he was all in.

Not knowing who to trust Pippa ventures into opening up to Malcolm, but when she wants to tell him everything she’s been hiding she discovers everything has been a lie. He wasn’t as retired as he’d claimed to be and apparently he was undercover…with her.

Malcolm may have been doing his job, but his feelings for Pippa were real. All he had to do was prove it to her, keep her safe, and save a bunch of innocent people in the process.

The family is a bunch of insane cult people all wanting to please their Profit. They’re all about sex, drugs, and reigning holy fire on the impure.

Hidden is on the edge of your seat suspenseful, throw me down on the kitchen table and spank my ass kind of hot, and high heel wearing German shepherd kind of hilarious. It’s for sure a captivating page turner! And after the little preview of Deep Ops #2 in the back I am definitely excited to see what comes next.
