Mindy’s Review:

*I received this book free from an author in exchange for an honest review*

17 authors come together in Me + You with some great touching stories. Some found true love, some lost loves and some fulfilled their dreams.  Out of all of the stories there was only one that I could not seem to get past the first page (Could have been my mood for the day). This anthology has something for everyone. I can see me reading all of these stories again sitting on a beach and getting lost with all of these characters.
I fell in love with all of the stories that I read. I highly recommend anyone that loves romance to pick this up and get lost in the pages as much as I did. Wow, what an amazing group of authors!

Review of Chasing a Legend (Kavanagh Legends #4) by Sarah Robinson

Genre: Contemporary Romance, MMA Romance

Book Length (Est.): 227 Pages

Book Description/Synopsis:

The most soulful Kavanagh brother tackles the challenge of a lifetime—with a little help from the girl of his dreams.

A topnotch manager and agent, Quinn Kavanagh pictures a life outside of his family’s renowned MMA gym. Beneath his sleek exterior, Quinn has a secret passion for sculpting. But after a nearly fatal motorcycle accident, he’s struggling just to walk again, let alone get back to the studio—and it doesn’t help that the doctor in charge of his physical therapy is his childhood crush. Quinn’s always ready for a fight, but the bittersweet sting of unrequited love has him begging for mercy.

Dr. Kiera Finley is determined to make her medical residency a success. Six years ago, she gave in and shared a single passionate night with Quinn. Now she’s just hoping the cocky lover from her past doesn’t derail her plans for the future. Little by little, though, Kiera gets to know another side of Quinn. She knew he was a family man, devoted to his parents and brothers, but he’s also a free spirit trapped in a cage—and only she has the key. To heal both Quinn’s body and soul, Kiera’s tempted to give him a special kind of medicine.

With their own heartwarming HEAs, Sarah Robinson’s Kavanagh Legends novels can be read together or separately.

Mindy’s Review:

*I received this book free from Random House Publishing Group – Loveswept via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review*

Quinn Kavanagh was in love with his best friend and got his heart broke when she left for college. Now, six years later he is a manager for his brothers and their MMA business. He does not really love the MMA circuit like his family does but wants to make his family proud. Quinn wants to do something else with his life but is afraid that his family will not support him.

Kiera Finley is in her medical residency and will not let anything get in the way of her dreams. Including her feelings for her old best friend. Now that she is older and is getting to know the real Quinn she finds herself falling in love with him. She opens his eyes to the possibilities of his dreams coming true.

This is the fourth book in the series. I have been waiting for this one and I was not let down. I love the Kavanagh family and how much love and support they have for each other. It really shines in this book.

Review of Katy’s Choice (A Ravens MC Novel #3) by J.L. Leslie

“I had a choice to make and I chose my heart.”

Genre: Contemporary Romance, MC Romance

Book Length (Est.): 279 Pages

Book Description/Synopsis:

I left home seven years ago, trying to pursue my dream. California was going to give me everything. Life. A career. Money. I had no idea how quickly a dream could turn into a nightmare.

A motorcycle club is about family, trust and loyalty. Break that and you will have an enemy on your hands that you can’t defeat. Run from it and you will be looking over your shoulder for the rest of your life.

I broke it and I ran.

I’m trying to start over. Trying to figure out who I am outside of that lifestyle, but does Katy McGuire even exist anymore? I can choose to get entangled in the motorcycle club my sister is in, be drawn back into the life I ran screaming from,
or I can choose to forget that part of me ever existed. That part of me that feels comfortable in the nightmare.

“I had a choice to make and I chose my heart.”

*Katy’s Choice is book three in the Ravens MC Series, but can be read as a standalone novel. It has references to characters and events from Raiden’s Choice (A Ravens MC Novel: Book One) and Lincoln’s Choice (A Ravens MC Novel: Book Two). It contains adult content, adult language, violence, and sexual situations. It is intended for mature readers only.*

Mindy’s Review:

*I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review*

Katy was abused and her life was pretty much taken away from her. She was at the mercy of the Sinner’s MC President. When she gets a chance to run she takes it. The local DA helped her get out and brought her back to her sister. She just so happens to run right back into a club that her sister is part of. All Katy wants is to get her life back. She hates living with fears every day that her past will come back to haunt her and everyone that she is around.

Kane is an enforcer for the Raven’s MC and he has his eyes set on Katy. The only problem is so does Griffin, the DA that helped her get her freedom back. She feels like  Griffin is a safe choice and she could possibly live a normal life with him. But Kane brings out the true side of Katy, the one that lives on the edge and loves a bad boy.

Katy’s past will eventually catch up with her and she does not even realize that she has something that the Sinner’s want. And they will stop at nothing to get it back from her.

This is the third book in the Raven’s MC series. I loved this storyline, the writing is brilliant as always with this author. Yes, J.L. keep them coming!

Review of The Dating Diet by Daralyse Lyons

“The Dating Diet”

Genre: Contemporary Romance, Romantic Comedy

Book Length (Est.): 312 Pages

Book Description/Synopsis:

What if you found yourself climbing out of a bedroom window, naked, in the middle of the afternoon, to avoid being caught in bed with your married lover? Would you have second thoughts about dating? After Shayla Ross discovers that yet another potential “Mr. Right” is, in fact, incredibly wrong for her, she decides to go on a diet. No. She’s not going to forgo her much-loved, sinfully-delicious girl scout cookies or her (admittedly too frequent) trips to McDonalds. Shayla is going on a dating diet. An incredibly hapless and infinitely loveable heroine, elementary school teacher Shayla Ross decides to take her summer vacation from teaching as a period of self-discovery. Much to the chagrin of her meddling mother, Shayla sets out to find herself and, in the process, bumbles into a series of successive funny and heartwarming interpersonal interactions that will have readers falling in love with her.

Mindy’s Review:

*I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review.*

Shayla Ross is an elementary school teacher. When summer comes she decides to do some self discovery. She decides it is time to go on a dating diet. No dating! No men! However, Shayla wants a relationship so bad and all she finds are Mr. Wrongs.

When she meets Dunkin she stresses that they cannot be anything more than friends. They hang out, go shopping and even go on a non-date.

This is not typically the kind of book that I read, but overall I enjoyed it. Her friendship with her best friend Brice is so much fun (which is really my favorite part). And you can’t help but to cheer on the budding relationship between her and Dunkin.

Review of Bad Business (Bad Boys of Sports #2) by Nicole Edwards

“”You don’t go for good-looking guys?”

The corner of her mouth curls in an almost-smile. “Its the cockiness I’m not attracted to.””

Genre: Contemporary Romance, Sports Romance

Book Length (Est.):

Book Description/Synopsis:

This player’s got a lot to learn if he wants to score . . . with the boss’s daughter.

Stone: Football is more than a game to me. It’s my calling. Becoming the Dallas Wranglers’ starting quarterback before I retire is a dream come true, but with a few wins under my belt, suddenly everyone wants a piece of me. And even though being in the spotlight has its perks—beautiful women, star treatment, more beautiful women—what really gets me sweating is the watchful gaze of my sexy-as-hell PR coach, Savannah Andrews. The catch? Her father is kind of my boss. . . .

Savannah: In my family, football is big business. When your dad owns an NFL franchise, you learn a thing or two about schmoozing, and from what I can tell, it’s not a skill in Jason Stone’s playbook. Sure, the veteran quarterback is literally larger than life. With broad shoulders, muscles on muscles, and a mouth made for kissing, he may be one of the hottest men in the league—and I should know. I’ve turned down enough players to start my own all-star team. But those guys just wanted to get close to my father. Meanwhile, Stone is getting temptingly close . . . to me.

The Bad Boys of Sports come to life in these sexy standalone novels by New York Times bestselling author Nicole Edwards:
BAD REPUTATION | BAD BUSINESS

Mindy’s Review:

*I received an ARC of this book free from Random House Publishing Group – Loveswept via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.*

Jason Stone plays for the Dallas Wranglers as a star quarterback. He is living his dream before he retires at the end of the year. All he wants is to take his team to the Super Bowl. Meeting a woman at a club that is not star struck definitely gets his attention. And he cannot seem to get her off of his mind.

Savannah Andrews works for the Dallas Wranglers as a PR coach. She has never been attracted to a player on the team until she realizes that Stone is not as bad as his ego lets on. Living on the edge she decides to go home with him not letting him know exactly who she is. Its only a matter of time before he realizes she is the owners daughter.

Savannah must travel with the team to keep the press away from Stone so he can focus on the game. Spending all this time with Stone will get the feeling flowing. Not to mention they cannot keep their hands off of each other.

This is the second book in the Bad Boys of Summer series and as much as I loved the first one, this was by far one of my favorite books to read of all time. I love the storyline and the chemistry between Stone and Savannah, I felt as if I was a part of their life while reading. I cannot wait for the next one to come out.

Review of Underneath It All (The Walshes #1) by Kate Canterbary

“Before you say no,” he said, holding up a hand. “Just say yes instead.”

Genre: Contemporary Romance, Romantic Comedy

Book Length (Est.): 340 Pages

Book Description/Synopsis:

If I had known I’d have a hot architect balls deep inside of me before the end of the weekend, I’d have made time for a pedicure.

Lauren
It’s all the little things—the action plans, the long-kept promises—that started falling apart when my life slipped into controlled chaos.

After I met Matthew Walsh.

I couldn’t decide whether I wanted to run screaming or rip his pants off, and most days I wanted a little of both. If I was being honest with myself, it was rip his pants off, ride him like a workhorse, and then run screaming.

Matthew
A rebellious streak ran through Lauren Halsted. It was fierce and unrelentingly beautiful, and woven through too many good girl layers to count, and she wasn’t letting anyone tell her what to do.

Unless, of course, she was naked.

She wasn’t looking for me and I sure as shit wasn’t looking for her, but we found each other anyway and now we were locked in a battle of wills, waiting for the other to blink.

Sometimes the universe conspires to bring people together. Other times, it throws people down a flight of stairs and leaves them in a bruised and bloodied heap.

Mindy’s Review:

*I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review*

Lauren has almost everything that she has ever wanted. The only thing missing is having her own school. She needs to find a great location. The only issue with the location that she wants is it is about to collapse. Needing an architect she meets Matthew.

Matthew and his family own their own business. They love to restore historical places. Matthew decides to help Lauren find the perfect place for her school.

Mathew and Lauren are instantly attracted to each other. Lauren does not have time for anything more than a one night stand. Knowing that they are in a business situation they try to keep it that way. Until they can’t.

This was a very fun read. Two very busy people who happen to find each other and have incredible chemistry. Once they make the decision to cross the line, all bets are off.

I would recommend everyone that loves a great story to read this.

Mindy’s Review:

Alexi aka Dr. Hotness is a heart surgeon. He is hot headed and knows he has what it takes to score any woman that he wants. At the hospital he runs into a woman that is crying and really does not have a lot of interest in him at the moment.

Caylan is a college student that is running from the demons in her past. She moved with her parents to try to get a fresh start. Meeting Alexi at the hospital had her brain in overload.

Alexi is drawn to Caylan instantly. He cannot stop thinking about her. He wants to know who she is and her story. Breaking some rules he finally gets his chance to run into her again.

This was a sexy read. I loved Alexi and Caylan. I loved how much they really needed each other to be whole themselves again. This is very well written and I loved reading it.
