Review of Released (Aliens, Myths, & Magic #2) by Sylvina Storm

A Sexy & Captivating Adventure

Genre: Paranormal Romance, Sci-fi, Erotica

Book Length (Est.): 238 Pages

Book Description/Synopsis:

Before they can capture her heart, they must first set her free.

I grew up listening to stories about soulmates. After spending the last ten years as a test subject, I never thought I’d be free to find mine. You’d think discovering I had two would be twice the blessing, but it turned out to be double the trouble instead.

I’d been content with Daniel as my soulmate. Imagine my surprise when we found Macaela was our third. If only Daniel would learn to settle down before he scares her off, we can finally have the family I’d always thought lost to me.

Infiltrating a government lab was easy. Keeping my cool after finding out they were using my Setah as a test subject was impossible. Changing everything I am for my lovers might very well destroy me.

This full length novel is part of a series, and best read in order, but you get a HEA with no cliffhangers. Want to read the prequel for free? Sign up for my newsletter at SYLVINASTORM.COM and get instant access to Pre-Destined (Lukas and Darian’s story)… and so much more!

Proceed at your own risk. Erotic fantasies result in damp panties, uncontrollable passion, and extremely naughty dreams. Stepping into a Sylvina Storm novel can be wildly intense, and leave you breathlessly anticipating more. The most common cure for such unfulfilled desires is to continue reading until relief is attained.

Repeat as necessary.

This series contains MM, MMF, MFM, BDSM and other alternative lifestyle scenes. Some scenes may be too intense for some audiences. If you are offended by love in its less mainstream forms, please reconsider. However, if you believe in love without limits…

Prepare to be aroused!

It’s opposites attract times three!

Macaela and her twin Gabriel have been test subjects for the last ten years of their lives. Played against each other and used as nothing more than living science experiments, but everyone has their limits. They both want out and they’re willing to do anything to obtain that goal. She may look and act sweet and innocent, but Macaela is a lot stronger than anyone could imagine.

The moment Erick discovers Macaela is his Setah he’ll do whatever he can to prove he’ll take care of her and love her. He sweet and a little overbearing when it comes to her safety, but he’s a great guy.

“Gods, I want to touch you so bad.”

Daniel, on the other hand, likes to enjoy his sexuality, and although he and Erick have been mated for a very long time they have always had an open relationship. Now that Macaela appears and is not only Erick’s Setah, but also his own, the ways that have always come natural to him begin to hurt the ones he cares about. He may seem harsh and uncaring, but he’s got a heart of gold buried in there somewhere.

“You’re my whole world, Macaela. My Setah. The missing part of my own soul. With you, I’m everything. Without you, I don’t exist.”

In a race against the Elitists to capture the portal stones and save Macaela and Gabriel, Erick, Daniel, and the rest of the Kindred will stop at nothing to achieve their goals. Released is full of action, suspense, love, and sex. The one on one and menage scenes aren’t as detailed or as plentiful as they were in the first book, Destined, but they’re still hot enough to keep you wanting more. And the storyline in itself is enough to keep you flipping the pages, hungry to discover what happens.

My Favorite Moment: I was torn between laughing and being turned on. The first time Macaela wants to be with Erick was both comical and hot.

“Are you sure?” I asked again.

She rolled her eyes, crawled on top of me, and rubbed her folds over my erection. “I said yes, dammit. If I change my mind, I’ll yell every fucking shade of red I can think of, got it?”

Review of Destined (Aliens, Myths & Magic #1) by Sylvina Storm

Magic, Myth & Mayhem

Genre: Fantasy, Erotica, BDSM

Book Length (Est.): 238 Pages

Book Description/Synopsis:

Destiny brought them together. Their love might tear them apart.

“Maybe when I woke, this would no longer be a nightmare with crazy wolves and strange creatures masquerading as men.”
The men who almost kidnapped me will stop at nothing to get me back. I’m no damsel in distress, but who could turn down a sexy white knight… or two?
Lukas and Darian have a few secrets. They aren’t exactly human. Neither are the men trying to find me.
The Intarans might look like humans, but they’re not of this world. For millennia, they have starred in our myths, legends, and nightmares. They’re trapped on Earth… and they want to use me to open the portal home.
I had planned my future carefully, but nothing could’ve prepared me for nightmares come to life, or falling in love.

“I’m done waiting. We both know what you want. It’s the same thing I want. And I always get what I want.”
From the moment I saw her, I knew Ryleigh was my mate. I didn’t care that she was human; I wasn’t exactly pure-blooded myself. My secrets were unraveling fast, threatening to destroy those I loved.
I’d protect her with my life, but when the truth comes out, will she stay?

“Don’t you fantasize about how it would be between us? I know I do.”
I was a broken man, shattered by years of torture and pain. My family called me traitor; my allies feared me. Hell, I barely trusted myself.
Lukas saved me, and I loved him too much to ever cause him pain. Before Ryleigh came into our lives, he was everything I ever wanted.
Ryleigh saw the man I might’ve been. She was the only woman I could’ve ever loved. Hell, I wanted her and Lukas both.

Jennifer’s Review:

*I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review*

Ryleigh is quickly thrown into a world she never knew existed. Her head’s set on finding her missing friend, but her heart is being torn in two different directions and it’s an emotional craziness as she gets closer to both Lukas and Darian.

Lukas is a bisexual Dominant who seems to like to control every situation. He even has dreams that give him glimpses of certain outcomes, but nothing gave away the predicament he found himself in.

Darian has a terror filled past and it has left him carrying many emotional scars. One being the fact that he’s openly gay and in love with his best friend, but when he feels drawn to a woman for the very first time why oh why is it the one his best friend seems connected too. Talk about a sucky situation. But being him does have its perks…he can shape shift!

“If it were anyone else I’d fight for you, Lia. You’re special. But I can’t hurt him. Not like that.”

The story alternates between three main points of view (Ryleigh, Lukas, and Darian) with an occasion glance into the enemies mind thrown in here and there. Throughout most of the story each point of view continues where the other left off keeping the story moving, but toward the end there’s a part that’s retold from each of their point of views and it felt like a wrench being thrown into the smoothly working machine.

Destined is filled with secrets, intrigue, and hot kinky sex. It combines aliens and myths to produce a race of very interesting people. It’s captivating and I look forward to seeing what happens next.

My Favorite Laughable Moment: It probably shouldn’t have been funny considering it was basically a hostage situation but when Darian went to save Ryleigh it was quite funny.

“Stay still! Pretend I’m not here.”

“But, I wanna see.” She pouted.

“Yeah, about that. I can’t change with my clothes. Being cold ain’t got nothing on standing at four inches and freezing. I’d rather keep my dignity, thank you very much. No peeking.”
