Shane is one determined man. He knows that he want Cheyenne back and he’ll stop at nothing to make it happen. Of course it doesn’t take much convincing because Cheyenne is drawn to Shane just as much as he is to her.

Legend’s Promise is a Native American tale about tribal history, customs, and the power that lie in their blood. Cheyenne is unique and her gifts hold great mystery. Shane loves being able to shift and soar high above, but keeping it secret from the woman he loves is killing him. What he doesn’t know is that she has a secret of her own. Seems a lot of people in this book have “secrets”. You’d figure with them all being part of the same tribe that they’d share information like that. Maybe the new chief will change the system.

There is a little suspense, but when it came right down to it the suspenseful moment I was waiting for fell completely flat. I was disappointed there wasn’t more to it, especially when it was hyped up here and there throughout the story. The ending is fast. Like boom, boom, done. It’s like everyone settles into the roles they were meant to have and then tied it all up with a ring.

She gripped the counter behind her. He’d never believed the bit about her mom changing jobs. If she revealed the real reason they’d left Manteo, he’d think her insane. “I’d never betray you, Shane.” Her words spilled out, sounding breathless.

The back of his knees hit the chair, skidding it backward. It tipped over as he closed in on her like a predator. His eyes darkened to molten caramel as his nostrils flared. Over two hundred pounds of sinewy muscles trapped her against the counter while large hands rested at her lower back.

Stunned, she froze. Anger and passion mixed. The pungent aroma of whiskey wafted from masculine lips hovering inches from hers.

In mocked defiance, she raised her chin. The act forced him to pause, but only for a second, before claiming her mouth.

Branding her.

As he had when she was sixteen.

Freewill gone, she melted into his hard embrace and prodding erection. His tongue swept past her teeth with hunger as he lifted her onto the counter.

“God, Chey.” He hissed, squeezing her ass, making her wet with need.

His hands roved under her skirt, skimming the tops of her thighs until his fingers caught the band of her silk thong. Like a hunter, he shredded the flimsy barrier.

Her head fell back in surrender as her hips bucked forward. Far better than whiskey, his touch drugged her, weakened her defenses. Nothing had changed.

Blog Tour – Review of Crave (Exiled #2) by Victoria Danann

Powerful and Moving

Genre:  Paranormal Romance, Sci-fi

Book Length (Est.): 13 Pages

Book Description/Synopsis:

Crave surpassed the limits of mortal endurance and survived years of torture by the Rautt. For years he’d been isolated, chained in darkness, kept in filth, starved, taken to the point of death only to be restored so that his enemies could begin the cycle again. His family thought he was dead, but the woman who’d held his heart and his promise never gave up hope.

After his rescue, his memory and sanity gone, Dandy will plumb the depths of love to bring him back from hell, while his community sets out to prove that he’ll never be alone again.

The last thing Carnal did before his death was see Crave free. It was the gut-wrenching ending to book one that leads straight into book two. Crave had been held and tortured by the Rautt for years and when his people got him back he wasn’t the same man he was before. All that darkness had clouded his mind and pushed him to the brink of madness. But Dandy never gave up hope…not once. Not until one day she realized it was time for her to move on with her life like Crave seemed to be doing with his.

The mind is funny thing though, sometimes one little word can turn things around. And sometimes it takes an act of determination and love to set things right. Nothing comes easy to the Exiled, but they sure know how to come together to take care of their own.

“He’s got this insane idea that he no longer deserves you. He’s got it in his head that he needs to prove to you that he’d die for you.”

The depths of emotions in this book are endless. Crave is powerful and moving. I laughed and cried and couldn’t have put it down if I’d tried.

This is the second book in the Exiled series and it was just as good as, if not better than, Carnal. Victoria Danann’s writing has a way of moving your soul. The characters easily win you over and it’s not long before you’re feeling what they feel and wanting what they want.

My Favorite Laughable Moment: There are so many moving moments in this book, but I don’t want to give anything good away so I’m going with something a little lighter…may favorite laughable moment happens when Crave and Dandy are discussing a little gift from Flora.

Eight years earlier.

Dandy and Crave had taken the hike up the western mountain to the waterfall pool. Everyone knew where it was, but few people went because the effort to get there was worth mention.

The pool was small, only fifteen feet across, but the water was beautiful and clear. It was also cold since it began its journey higher up as snow melt. Crave thought it was the prettiest spot in the world, surrounded by pink granite outcroppings, aspens and evergreen trees.

They’d removed their clothes and jumped in, Dandy shrieking about the cold while he pretended to be immune and laughed at her. They swam and splashed, but after a time ended up kissing and exploring each other’s postpubescent bodies.

In many ways Dandy thought those first shy touches were the most erotic things that would ever happen to her. It was then and there that Crave had also declared.

“I love you, Dandy. You’re my promise.”

She laughed. “You can’t just say I’m your promise, Crave. You have to ask me. Don’t you know that?”

He looked a little hurt, but started again. “Dandelion. I love you. Are you going to be my promise or not?”

“I will.” She smiled showing off her white teeth. Then she grew serious as a thundercloud. “But I’d better never catch you with another female.”

Crave was offended at the suggestion. Even in his fantasies, the only female he could imagine mounting was Dandelion. “I wouldn’t do that.” Understanding flitted across his boyish features as he considered the implications and his expression changed to a look of worry. “Same for you.Right? No other males.”

Dandy smiled a perfectly coy female smile and drew closer. “I would never, Crave,” she breathed. “You’re my promise.”

His forehead smoothed as he relaxed then promptly dunked her under with a mischievous grin.

Blog Tour – Review of Carnal: The Beast Who Loved Me (Exiled #1) by Victoria Danann **GIVEAWAY**

Captivating and Emotional

Genre: Paranormal Romance

Book Length (Est.): 251 Pages

Book Description/Synopsis:

The first book in the new series, EXILED.

The angel, Kellareal, stopped the genocide of generations of hybrids, who had been bred for research and spent their entire lives imprisoned. Against orders, he spirited them away to a dimension where they would have freedom and purpose.

In a vindictive fit, Rosie Storm asked Kellareal for a place to hide out. He knew just the place for her to grow up, learn emotional control, and other things.

Jennifer’s Review:

*I received an ARC of this book free from Book Enthusiast Promotions in exchange for an honest review*

Kellareal broke the rules when he transported the Exiled to another dimension. In essence he altered what would have naturally become in both dimensions.

Rosie is younger than she seems and hasn’t figured out that tantrums aren’t the way to get things, but then again one got her in a self-proclaimed timeout with the Exiled. Being there, helping out, it’s where she finds herself…and her heart’s desire.

Carnal is the eldest son of the Exiled’s leader, Free. He’s most definitely all alpha male and oh boy does he know it. But Rosie brings out a different side in him and it’s quite interesting to watch their relationship blossom.

“I don’t want to be your boy toy, Rosie.”

“Good. Then we’re agreed.” She looked pointedly at this hand on her wrist, detaining her progress.

“But I might want to be your man.”

Carnal brings something new and unique to life. The storyline and characters are captivating. I loved all of them…Free, Serene, Charming, even Deliverance. I found myself thinking about it instead of sleeping and oh my goodness when it ended….so so emotional! Even though I knew what was going to happen I couldn’t have unglued my eyes from that last chapter if I wanted to.

The only major downside was that since I haven’t read the Knights of Black Swan series I felt like I was missing something. This is the first book in the Exiled series, but I’m pretty sure it’s a spin-off from the Knights of Black Swan. It has little references throughout that made me wish I’d read the other series first.

My Favorite Laughable Moment: Dandy was pretty sweet once I got to know her and I loved her interactions with Rosie.

“Good. Back to work. And forget about Carnal.”

“You’re not forgetting about him, are you?”

“I am.” Dandy raised her eyebrows. “I am! Really!”

“Let’s take a walk. There’s a spot up above the training grounds. It’s quiet, private, pretty.” When she looked up at him, he bent and rubbed his nose against hers in a way that was not common for humans, but definitely sexy.

“What are we going to do there?” She hoped she didn’t sound as breathless, and eager, as she felt.

“I’m going to get to know everything there is to know about you, my little sex demon.”

“I’m not a sex demon, Carnal. I’m just part sex demon.”

“Okay,” he smiled. “If you say so. I just know that I’ve never felt this way about a female before. I figure something supernatural must be at work.”

Rosie didn’t know whether to be more thrilled about the proclamation that she was special to him or about the fact that his feelings were unusual enough to suspect that she’d bewitched him. She was thinking that she needed to tell Charming to keep the witchcraft book a secret when Carnal said, “So tell the truth. You’re part witch, right? Did you put a spell on me?”

He stopped and turned to face her.

She knew the drill at that point. He was fishing for half truths and untruths, so she met his eyes.

“No, Carnal. I have not used magic on you or altered the natural course of things in any way. Other than fixing your motorbike.”

“Motorcycle,” he corrected. “Would you like me to be under your spell?”

She laughed and pulled away. “I don’t have to answer that.”

He caught up with her quickly and fell into step beside her. “Free thinks you’ll be leaving soon.”

“Does he?”

“Is he right?”

“Honestly, Carnal, I guess I don’t know from one day to the next. Every day I wake up and think, ‘I’ll stay one more day’.”

“Why?” She gave him a confused look. “Not that I’m not glad you’re here, but from a purely clinical and objective standpoint, why have you stayed?”

“I’m not sure my answers would make sense.”

“Tell me anyway.”

“I like working at the Commons. I like living in your parents’ house. I like the way Charming treats me like a sister. I like Dandelion. I like that your father listens to my ideas and gives me respect.”

Carnal pulled her to a stop again and lifted her chin so that she had to look at him. “I didn’t hear anything in there about me.”

“I didn’t either.”

“Tell me. Am I part of the reason why you’ve stayed?”

Book Description/Synopsis:

Outcasts, black sheep, those who never fit in anywhere. Winter’s Wrath belongs to them. Every single member of the band rejects the norm when it comes to music.

They won’t settle when it comes to love.

Alder Trousseau, the lead guitarist in a band that owns his heart and soul, has always stood in the shadow of a man he hates. Braver “Brave” Trousseau, the voice of Winter’s Wrath.

For the success of the band, they have to work past their animosity, but that’s difficult when they have the same taste in women. And men.

Sex is a game to Brave. A game that might leave the people Alder cares for completely broken. Unless he claims them for his own.

If he steps out of the shadows, he’ll have no choice to play. To win.

On stage, the drama drives the fans insane. The songs they sing are a blood racing, body moving, warcry. But the very real battle taking place between the snares and the mic might tear the band apart.

WOW! I absolutely loved this book!

I’ve read a few of Biana Sommerland’s books before that once I started I could not put down for anyone or anything; this one is no different. Backlash is simply addicting.

Alder is the glue that keeps Winter’s Wrath together. He never puts himself first…always the needs of the band. He’s sweet and caring and I couldn’t get enough of him.

“It’s little early in the relationship for me to spank you, but we haven’t been conventional about anything else.”

Jesse is in love with both brothers, Alder and Brave. Problem is he’s friends with Alder and wouldn’t want to mess that up for anything. Brave on the other hand seems to needs someone and he just hopes that someone is him. The only problem is sometimes people can’t be fixed and those who you love don’t always love you back. Then again sometimes they do.

“If I had a fragile ego, her silence would wound me.” Jesse put his hand over his heart as he stood, grinning when she shook her head. “Don’t worry, I’m offended. I’ve probably thought about fucking you more than you’ve ever considered touching me, but I’m a guy.”

Danica needed the publicity and being seen with the members of Winter’s Wrath was just what she was looking for. There’s only a small problem with that scenario though. She had met Alder before the show, not knowing it was him, and now she feels guilty for using them when she actually really likes him.

“He’ll be listening and picturing what you’re doing to me and-“

Alder put his hand over her mouth and let out a rough laugh. “Well, with that disturbing thought in my head, no, I wouldn’t be comfortable. And I’d rather not gibe the rest of the guys something to jack off to.”

“You say the sweetest things!”

Managers and publicists have no problem working out a way to keep Danica close to Alder, after all it is good publicity for both, problem is will having a girl on tour add stress to the band or create just enough tension to push them through their rough patches. Alder, Danica, and Jesse will not only figure out how to make the band better, they’ll also figure out a way to make the perfect relationship work.

The sex is hot! Then again this is Bianca Sommerland and she definitely knows how to write sex. The storyline is engaging (rockers, stalkers, and sex) and always has something going on, never a dull moment, not even a “let me bookmark it here” place. It’s a read me until the last page kind of book.

My Favorite Laughable Moment: Nothing like a little pity from a waitress.

“Stop scowling. She probably thinks I have your balls in my purse.” Danica set her purse on the table and peeked inside. “They’re not in here, so no worries.”
