“Let me see those skills of yours. Ready, set…go!”

Genre: Erotica

Book Length (Est.): 157 Pages

Book Description/Synopsis:

Ingvild would do anything to keep her little brother Kjetil out of trouble, even if that means committing a serious crime. The sinister leader of a Neo-Nazi group called the Norsemen asks her to steal for him in exchange for clearing her brother from his heavy gambling debt. She agrees, not realizing the chaos her act has just unleashed and the violent repercussions that will follow. A solitary Dom, Aksel prefers building custom furniture in his remote home to embracing the wild-biker lifestyle of his close friends. One night he tangles with a stunning thief who has managed to steal a priceless artifact owned by his family for generations. Acting on instinct, he shoots the woman, only to watch her flee into the arctic night with his most valued possession. Everything comes full circle when his best friend Mikkel, the leader of the Devil’s Wrath MC, mentions a mysterious woman injured by a rifle shot. Once Aksel gets his hands on her, there is no turning back, for Ingvild is a more precious prize than any artifact. Even if he can win her love, will this strong-willed woman be open to the world of bondage and submission? Book 3 in the Nordic Lights series

Mindy’s Review:

*I received an ARC of this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review*

Ingvild will do anything to protect her family. Getting involved in her brother’s mess she finds herself having to try and clear his name. The one thing she has to do is steal a priceless family heirloom from a home. She thought this would be easy. That is until she ends up in a fight with a man and a bullet in her shoulder.

The only thing Askel loves more than building his custom furniture is to let his Dominant side come out and play. In a desperate plea to find the woman that stole from him he goes to a party that his close friend invited him to. When he takes his first look at her his body comes to life.

Askel learns the truth about Ingvild and wants to protect her from the Neo-Nazi leader that is after her. As they get close to each other and learn that they have similar interest the pages become scorching hot. The chemistry between them is electric. Not only is she a perfect sub, she is a perfect match for Askel in every way.

This is the third book in the Nordic Lights series and another great read from Christine Edwards! The storyline is great, the heat level is scorching and the characters are very easy to love.

My Favorite Moment: I really like when they run into each other for the first time at the party. There is nothing like seeing who you are really dealing with.

Review of Latitude 59 by Christine Edwards

Snow Angel

Genre: Erotica

Book Length (Est.): 111 pages

Book Description/Synopsis:

An avalanche disrupts a heli-skiing trip. Is Sabine’s only hope for survival a man as brutal as the storm that nearly killed her? The life of Roark Thibault has been ruled by violence. As the enforcer for an NHL hockey team, he’s a master at his craft, laying waste to anyone who crosses his path with a viciousness that has earned him both fear and respect. But a career-ending knee injury has made him question everything. Choosing solitude, he resides in a remote cabin set deep in the Alaskan wilderness. While hunting, he runs across a gorgeous, unconscious, half-frozen skier. Sabine Borgia is terrified of her imposing savior. At first. She soon discovers that behind the gruff exterior is a complex man scarred by love and life. Will this puzzling beauty be the one to finally melt the heart of this fiercely private warrior?

Mindy’s Review:

*I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review*

Roark Thibault loved playing hockey. This is until an injury took him out of the game and made him change the course of his life. He is now in a remote area of Alaska living in peace and quiet, hunting and enjoying the scenery.

Sabine Borgia loves hanging out with her cousin and best friend. Taking a trip to Alaska to ski turns their life upside down when an avalanche causes serious injuries. Sabine is the only one capable of trying to go get help. That is until the cold takes over.

Roark is out hunting when he sees a snow angel. He knows that she might not have long if he does not hurry and get her warm. He knows that she needs help but with the storm coming in and everything shutting down the responsibility is left on him to keep her alive. Sabine wakes to find herself being taken care of by a strange very good looking man. She knows she owes her life to this man.

When the sparks start to fly Roark and Sabine become very comfortable with the situation they are in. So much so that she is not sure she even wants to leave. But she knows that she needs to go take care of her family and that must come first.

This is a very interesting read. I love the chemistry that Roark and Sabine have. The book is very well written and keeps you turning the pages. The attraction that they know they can never fight is so intense and hot.

Another great one Christine!

Try as she might, she can’t resist the passion he has ignited within her, no matter what the consequences. Can this human provide the love and protection Cosette has unwittingly craved? Meanwhile Tristan and his power-hungry clan are on a quest for Southern vampiric domination. Can Cosette and her Charleston-based vampire family survive their brutal onslaughts?

Book 2 in the Past Midnight series

Mindy’s Review:

*I received this book free from Babs HIGHTOWER PR in exchange for an honest review*

Cosette Beauvais loves nothing more than taking risks. When her daredevil behavior leaves her paralyzed her Uncle has no choice but to turn her into a vampire. Living her new life and keeping her daredevil ways has made her into one of the best female vampires in existence. However, breaking off a relationship with a kingpin vampire named Tristan will have its risks.

Colton Brennan is not your typical cowboy. He loves taking risks and fighting MMA style in underground matches. Watching a badass female ride a Ducati then fight off a wolf really ignites the sparks within him. All he knows is he has to make this woman his no mater what it takes.

I enjoyed reading this book with a great storyline and awesome writing from Christine Edwards. I really love all of the characters as they are very strong willed. Not a big fan of flashbacks but completely understand why they are needed especially in this story. The chemistry between Colton and Cosette is blazing!

Another hit out of the park for Christine Edwards!

My Favorite Moment: I enjoyed when Cosette introduced Colton to her family for the first time. Talk about intimidating the only human in the room.

Blog Tour: Review of Charleston Past Midnight by Christine Edwards

Charleston Past Midnight

Genre: Paranormal Romance, Erotica

Book Length (Est.): 172 Pages

Book Description/Synopsis:

How much fight does one woman have inside?

Calla Hart has never relied on anyone. The fierce West Virginian learned the hard way to be self-sufficient, that is until she is viciously attacked late one night by two thugs. Her luck turns when, still fighting for her life, she is rescued from her attackers by a preternaturally strong stranger. She is stunned to discover that Severin Beauvais is not your typical alpha male hero. Although her pre-med student mind vehemently resists the notion, Calla must soon accept that he is a vampire, one who has stalked the historic grounds of Charleston, South Carolina, since the mid-eighteenth century. Their desire for each other is intense, yet as much as she’d like to envision happily ever after with Severin, too much stands in their way. Aside from her fragile mortality, there is Severin’s extremely dominant personality coupled with his unending feud with the ancient Russian vampire Valdon, who has so far proved invincible.

And Valdon has set his sights on Calla ….

When it comes down to the wire, what would you sacrifice for the love of your life?

Jennifer’s Review:

*I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review*

I love Calla. She’s fierce, mouthy, and will sacrifice anything for the short list of people she loves. She had a rough childhood, forced to grow up entirely too fast, and because of that she’s determined to become something more than the white trash she was growing up. But sometimes fate has different plans and her future changes suddenly after meeting Severin.

Severin has been a vampire a long time and yet violence is not part of him. He could have watched the scene play out in front of him, yet instead he came to Calla’s aid when she needed help against two assailants, and that one encounter started something he wouldn’t be able to stop.

“Holy hell, woman, you completely shatter my control. I feel like a total animal with you. You unleash me, Calla, and the fact that you show no fear sets my blood on fire for you.”

Severin wants Calla because she’s awaken something in him that he cannot ignore. Valdon wants her because she has abilities that would give him an even greater power. What neither vampire realizes is that Calla is the one who will choose. She’s the one who will make the choice to live. She’s the one who will be there to help her friend. And she’s the one who will sacrifice all for love.

“Show me your skills, Calla.”

“M-my skills?” Does he mean what I think he does? Oh shit, yes, I just hit the Vegas jackpot because there is nothing more on earth I want than to ride this beautiful specimen.

“You heard me. I won’t let you go. Ride me hard, ma belle fleur.”

Charleston Past Midnight is an erotic tale about love and sacrifice. It’s about fighting for what you want and what you believe in. There are flashbacks and I can see how they tie into the present, however there are a few too many for my taste. Besides that, the story is written well and the characters are loveable (at least the ones who are supposed to be are).

My Favorite Moment: Severin’s Christmas surprise. I mean really how can that not stand out? I loved it.

“Ahh, Severin, always so serious. Very well, but I have to say, it really would perk up this dull Saturday night if you decided to share your sexy treat.”

That’s it. With those dangerous words I know I’ve landed in the lion’s den. I instantly break free from my frozen terror and whip around to flee toward the safety of the woods.

I hear the blond man laughing loudly as I dash away. “I do love the spirited ones, don’t you?”

Fuckers! They’re not getting anything from me without a fight!

I’m only a few feet into the dense labyrinth of trees when he suddenly appears in front of me. What the …? I cry out and try to change direction when he lunges for me. His speed is inconceivable.

As I twist to avoid his grasp, my bare arm connects with the sharp point of a branch and I feel my skin rip open. My teeth dig down into the inside of my bottom lip from the burning pain. No time to worry about it. Move, move! The blood dripping down my arm barely registers as I race blindly, trying to escape a horrific fate at the hands of these psychos.

A low growl erupts behind me. It’s lethal in its violent intensity and reminds me of the sound a ferocious predator makes right before the kill. Shit!

He’s on me in the blink of an eye. I’m face down in the blanket of leaves, and before I can even drag in a breath I’m flipped around to face my assailant. I stare up in total shock, not even able to scream. Irises that were once a deep, hypnotic blue are now as black as midnight and scary as fuck.

His lips are parted and long white pointed canines are coming at me. I try with all my might to move, but his weight is tremendous. His hands have my shoulders pinned down against the damp earth. I grasp for his biceps in a feeble attempt to haul him off me, but all I connect with is thick, corded muscle.

As he closes in, his head lowering down to mine, I hear his groans. It’s as if he’s fighting hard against some internal force that has taken hold of him.

Just as his face disappears from view, pressing down into the crook of my neck, I feel the sensation of his warm breath against my sensitive skin as he whispers thickly, “Forgive me, Calla.”

The initial pain of his bite is shocking. It’s as if two knitting needles have been thrust into my neck.

“No! S-stop!”

I scream loudly and suddenly, it all changes. Almost immediately the searing pain morphs into an overwhelming feeling of total ecstasy.

“Oh! Ahh!” I cry out as the mind-bending pleasure washes through me, more potent than the rush of the strongest drug. My thoughts turn into a hazy wash of euphoria. Wetness floods my core and the only thing on my mind is rough, hard sex. Right now.

He shifts his body to align perfectly with mine and I can’t resist parting my legs wider to accommodate him. His toned hips grind against my sex in a perfect, rhythmic motion that keep time with the delicious sucking pulls that have my already damp pussy throbbing for more. His stone hard thickness teases me as it slides against the smoothness of my panties. I cry out, desperate for more. He snarls into the bite and releases one shoulder to reach down and palm my damp sex. Oh, God, yes! I’ve never been this aroused in my life. I hope he takes me soon ….

It’s becoming harder to focus on the rapturous bliss because my thoughts are quickly becoming fragmented. The last thing I see before I pass out are the lustrous strands of his beautiful black hair as they tease lightly against my flushed cheeks.

Review of Nabbed in New Zealand by Christine Edwards

Nabbed in New Zealand

Spank Me Wet!

Genre: Erotica

Book Length (Est.): 168 Pages

Book Description/Synopsis:

Taking a break from her job at an art gallery in Charleston, South Carolina, Valla Denier escapes on a week-long camping tour of New Zealand with a small group of companions and two skilled guides. Valla is enchanted by the wild beauty of the South Island and Kaikoura Beach, as well as the local men. After catching the eye of a rugged, drop-dead-gorgeous man in a café, she is shocked to run into him later that evening at a karaoke bar. Setting her shyness aside, she serenades the stranger with a seductive tune. She never imagines the lyrics would be taken literally.

Later that evening, Valla is taken from her campsite and wakes up in a strange room. Her captor is the man from the bar, Brocan Judge, a six foot five wall of muscle with piercing, cobalt blue eyes. He is not responsible for her abduction; his friend has delivered Valla as a gift, and repairing the situation is not as simple as it sounds.

Valla soon learns that Judge is a Dom, intent on punishing her for her willful ways. Even more surprising is Valla’s reaction to him. When he offers her the choice to stay or leave, she must decide how far down the submissive path she is willing to travel. But trust has never been Valla’s strong suit. Will she be able to set aside her inhibitions and give in to the strong hand she has secretly craved, or will doubt trump her growing desire?

Mindy’s Review:

*I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review*

Valla Denier is on the vacation of her dreams, camping in New Zealand with a small group of people and two skilled guides. Vacation means she gets to have some fun too. A man has already caught her attention and she gets to see him again on karaoke night….and sing to him. What she does not understand is the man she is trying to swoon is a true Dominant.

Brocan Judge loves what he sees in Valla and takes the song she is singing to him literally. When he leaves for the night by himself he thinks he may never see her again. That is until you have a friend that feels like he owes you a favor and kidnapping Valla might just be the payoff.

Valla wakes up after being drugged to the strange noises of men talking. What she doesn’t understand yet is that her captor is not responsible for her kidnapping. Instead of just taking her back to where she belongs he decides to keep her and play for a while. When he discovers that she has true submissive traits he will have a very hard time letting her go.

As I have once said before I have not found a book by Christine Edwards that I do not like. Nabbed in New Zealand does not disappoint. Even though this could have been a cheesy story about having a woman delivered to you for a payoff, Christine does it again. This story will pull you in just to see if Valla can escape her captor or take the plunge and see what his lifestyle is about.

Review of Captured in Croatia by Christine Edwards

Captured in Croatia

Capture me and call me princeza. HOT!

Genre: Erotica, BDSM

Book Length (Est.): 180 pages

Book Description/Synopsis:

Corporate spy Carew Sloan is sent to Zagreb, Croatia, to retrieve information for a private intelligence agency. Carew’s beauty and talent for computer decryption make her the natural choice for this sensitive mission. After charming her mark, Vasilije Juric, in one of Zagreb’s swanky dance clubs, Carew finds herself in Juric’s bedroom. It will take only a moment to gather the information she was sent for and make her escape. Or so she thinks.

Unfortunately for Carew, Juric has a keen-eyed bodyguard, Zoran, who pegged her instantly as trouble. After a high speed chase, he retrieves Carew from her wrecked car. Rather than turn the stunning spy over to his merciless boss, Zoran takes matters into his own hands and keeps the girl … as his captive. Zoran’s keen intelligence, striking features, and powerful physique prove hard to resist, and soon their mutual hostility takes a backseat to the torrent of lust neither can deny.

Will Carew follow her heart, even it means losing her livelihood? What other dangers await them both beyond Zoran’s lair?

Mindy’s Review:

*I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review*

Carew Sloan works for a private intelligence company and must go to Croatia to complete an assignment. Carew is very good at her job and highly trained in martial arts, so protecting herself should not be an issue. She must seduce her target to get into his home and retrieve a file from his computer and get out without being caught. All seems fine until she is being chased by one of the biggest bodyguards she has ever seen. And then her car crashes leaving her weak and unable to protect herself from the one man that is sent to kill her.

“Checkmate for now, Zoran, but be warned that I’m prepping for our second psychological chess match. You just wait, big guy.”

Zoran has had a very difficult past; losing his entire family to protect the family land and his brother. Being highly trained makes him Juric’s number one bodyguard. Zoran is instantly drawn to Carew the minute he sees her at the night club. Knowing his boss wants her he even tries to give her an out, of course she does not take it. Knowing she is up to something he cannot let his guard down. Once he realizes she is on the run from the house he must deal with a very hard headed woman that he causes to crash her car, kidnaps and tries to dominate her in every way possible. And oh how he will enjoy every minute of it.

“The girl has proven herself to be very difficult to control. I warned her. Twice. This never happens. I am accustomed to instant compliance. Period.”

He wants her and will stop at nothing to get her, even if that means protecting the one that stole from his employer. He just has to keep her safe and hidden until he can figure out what she is doing there. Carew being as stubborn as she is gives nothing away until he figures out a way to make her talk by giving her exactly what she needs. The most thrilling, satisfying sex ever imaginable! However, keeping her hidden proves to be difficult when Zoran goes on with his daily life to not send red flags.

I am a big fan of Christine Edwards and this book is exactly one of the reasons. Holy hell, this book makes me want to get kidnapped and dominated, but only by a man like Zoran. The chemistry is off of the charts between these two. The book is written extremely well, with twists and turns that you really do not see coming. This is a “oh crap, I stayed up way too late” kind of book.

My Favorite Moment: I absolutely love how Zoran tries to get Carew to talk…multiple times!

“His huge body presses up against mine, sandwiching me between himself and the bag. I close my eyes and try to breathe in through my nose. I must calm down and think clearly…

Oh my god, his cock is still rock hard!

It presses against my back. It’s so huge that it feels like a weapon in itself.”

Review of Claimed in Canada by Christine Edwards

Claimed in Canada

Genre: Erotica, BDSM

Hotness Factor: Spank me HOT lumberjack!

Book Length (Est.): 150 Pages

Book Description/Synopsis:

When Violet London travels to the Canadian Yukon on a research grant, she can’t imagine greater excitement than the chance to study wolves firsthand. Yet more thrilling than any wolf is Luke Benoit, a handsome French Canadian Logger whose brute desire to dominate both tempts and frightens her. Unnerved by her craving to submit to primal passion, Violet is drawn to another man, Damon Holden. Damon is a gorgeous surgeon with everything a girl could want—money, education, and sophistication. Violet must choose between the man who saved her life during an attack by the very creatures she is sworn to protect and the man who offers her the comfort of financial security and solid social standing.

Damon is the safe choice, or is he?

Mindy’s Review:

*I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review*

Violet London travels to the Canadian Yukon on a research grant to study wolves. She can think of nothing better than to study them firsthand. That is until she decides to confront some very loud Logger’s that are interrupting her work.

“Who is this mysterious man?”

“What I wouldn’t give to have that man buck naked and pinning me down to his bed right now!”

Luke Benoit is a French Canadian Logger that loves his job and loves the mouth on this very spunky researcher. Luke is a very dominating man that dominates very well. He can tell the first time that he meets Violet that she is a true submissive, but does she know that? Warning her about a snow storm coming…Violet gets stranded and is about to come face to face with the one creature she is sworn to protect.

“She had better have a flawless explanation as to why the hell she went against my orders and stayed up there this late in the day. And she’ll damn well take her punishment for it, whether she’s into it or not.”

Damon Holden is set up with Violet on a dinner date. He is a very attractive surgeon with money and an education. He is a safe bet for Violet until he is unable to get her full attention and his violent side comes out. Can Luke save her in time from the one man that has the biggest secret in town?

This was a very enjoyable book to read. The passion between Violet and Luke is instant. They just cannot understand how one conversation can cause such a spark. Luke can bring submission out a Violet with just simple words. But Violet has a big heart and finds it very difficult to believe Damon is a bad man and that she should stay away from him. This scene is not for the faint of heart but made the storyline great.

My Favorite Laughable Moment: One of my favorite moments was when Luke is trying to explain what he wants from Violet. I can imagine this being my reaction to the situation.

“You know what a Dom is, Violet?”

“I, well, I’ve read a few books. I assume that you’re referring to a d-dominant?” I stammer, unable to meet his eyes. My throat feels as dry as kindling.”

“Yes, now tell me about what you’ve read.” Still no expression. Is he trying to torture me? I’m sure my face is fire-engine red by this point.”
