Jared Redmond is a very busy man. Now that he is trusted with high dollar real estate transactions he does not have time for a personal life. When he comes home early one weekend and his brother is having a party at the house he just wants to go to bed. When he gets to his room he finds a woman sleeping in his bed and all he can think to himself is she looks like a princess. Being the gentleman he is he lets her sleep and falls asleep next to her.

Felicity Hart has one goal in life. Complete her masters in art. When she goes to a Halloween party and falls asleep in an unoccupied room she wakes to find the most beautiful eyes staring back at her.

Spending time together has the possibility of falling in love a reality. Both have very demanding schedules and their time together gets shorter and shorter. But when the heart loves someone anything is possible.

I enjoyed this book. I felt like Felicity should of had more confidence in herself. She is one of those girls that doesn’t know how pretty she is and does not feel like she deserves the knight and shining armor of a beautiful man. Overall the story is good and you really fall in love with the characters.

Review of The Bite of Winter (Love Bites #1) by Lauren Smith

The Bite of Winter

A Love Worth Keeping

Genre: Paranormal Romance (Vampires)

Book Length (Est.): 113 Pages

Book Description/Synopsis:

She is theirs to claim. They are hers to save.

Ian Kennedy, a century old Irish vampire, never could resist rescuing a stray. As a few drops of his blood heals Zoey’s wounds, he realizes she’s a sweet, tempting, flesh-and-blood woman. But there’s one problem. Connor, who made Ian promise decades ago: no more mortal lovers.

After another vampire murdered his soulmate, Connor O’Shea swore never to let amortal woman pay the price for loving him. Until he feels Zoey’s skin and tastes her lips. She makes him want to break that vow.

Zoey finds herself caught in their web of seduction. But as Christmas draws near andher grief deepens, happiness seems far out of reach. And Ian and Connor join forces to prove their love is sacred, special…and forever.

Warning: This book contains two scorching-hot Irish vampires, one lady with plenty of pluck but zero luck, naughty lingerie, and enough Christmas cheer to redeem even the darkest creatures.

Jennifer’s Review:

*I received an ARC of this book free from Barclay Publicity in exchange for an honest review*

If you want a quickie vampire read that includes to sexy Irish vampires and a really nice girl who’s down on her luck then this is the book for you.

Ian is sweet and caring and can’t help but want to take care of the woman he rescued. But he not only wants to care for her, he wants to keep her. He wants her to stay with him, because to him she’s the one. Now he’ll just have to convince Connor and hope he doesn’t make him choose.

Connor is the brooding badass who is quite sweet beneath his steel exterior. He tries to resist, but he can’t fight what he knows to be true…Zoey is meant for him. Him and Ian.

She won’t destroy their lifelong friendship…she’ll mend it.

Zoey would have been dead if not for Ian, but obligation has nothing to do with her desire for him. One kiss and she knows there’s something much deeper between them. Then she meets Conner and WOW to sparks fly.

Confused about her desires for two men she’s lucky to discover they won’t make her choose. They’ll share. Forever!

The Bite of Winter is a fast paced, sweetly erotic story that’ll have you reading non-stop until the last page.

My Favorite Laughable Moment: It was sweet and funny all at the same time.

“You want me?”…….”I do, but I’m so afraid that you don’t want me back, that it’s just my appeal as a walking Happy Meal that draws you in.”
