Review of 120 Days (Morgan Family Series #4) by J.L. Leslie

120-days

“I won’t stand outside the fire. I’ll dance in the motherfucking flames.”

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Book Length (Est.): 145 Pages

Book Description/Synopsis:

Bad things happen to good people every day. I hear this saying all the time. I’ve never really believed it. Not until I was one of the unlucky ones.

Now I have to be strong and live my life. Easier said than done. I have to figure out how to be normal again. How to be myself again. Only how do I do that when everything around me feels different? When my home is no longer my home? When my mind doesn’t think the way I want it to? When my body doesn’t even feel the same?

I try not to count the days that I can go without reliving my attack. One day…Three days…One hour…

I try to date. Be happy with a man. Only I seem to blame every man I meet. None of them understand what I’m going through. None of them understand me.

Except for one.

**120 Days (Morgan Family Series: Book Four) is a standalone, full-length novel. If you read 90 Days (Morgan Family Series: Book Three) then you had the pleasure of meeting Melanie and James. This is their story.

This book contains graphic material including rape, adult content, adult language, and sexual situations. It is meant for mature readers only.**

Mindy’s Review:

*I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review*

Let me start by saying this is the fourth book in the Morgan Family Series. If you have not read the previous books, you need to before you start reading this one.

The next thing I need to say is thank you! Thank you J. L. Leslie for writing this one. I have been consumed by this series since I read the first one. I’m actually sad that it is over.

James is a therapist that deals with addiction. He helped Melanie’s brother when he was in rehab. Now that he is out James and Rhys are best friends.

Melanie is Rhys sister that was attacked and is dealing with her fear to be able to move on with her life. Sometimes to overcome your fear you have to have it come back full circle. Melanie likes James right away and feels really safe with him.  As their relationship grows the chemistry between them starts to grow more intense and dang is it hot!

I loved this book. I loved this entire series!

Review of 90 Days (Morgan Family Series #3) by J. L. Leslie

90-days

I have an addiction!

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Book Length (Est.): 136 pages

Book Description/Synopsis:

I have a habit. Big deal. I manage it and I live my life. I have my friends. I have women. To them, I’m the life of the party. Until her.

I can see you, Rhys Morgan.

Why’d she have to say that to me? Why’d she have to make me believe I could deserve happiness? The majority of the time we’re around each other we don’t even like each other. We only get along when we’re doing one thing and that’s taking each other’s clothes off.

But now she’s getting in my head. She’s making me question why I do the things I do. Making me want more than I should. Making me believe I can actually have it.

Can I?…

If you’ve read 30 Days or 60 Days then you’ve met Rhys Morgan and Anniston Stone. This is their story. 90 Days (Morgan Family Series: Book Three) is a stand-alone, full length novel. It can be read without reading the other books in the series.

**This book contains graphic adult content, mature language, sexual scenes, drug abuse, and talk of rape. It is suggested for mature readers only.**

Rhys Morgan has an addiction. Rhys learned at a young age that his mother was having an affair with his uncle. One thing lead to another and Rhys became addicted to drugs. Not many people in his family know the truth considering he did awesome in school and now has a chance at a great job.

Anniston Stone grew up with a drug addicted mother that did nothing for her. She was raised by her sister and has turned out very well. Anniston has an addiction as well but her go to is sex. Not being able to hold a relationship she has a few go to guys when in the need.

Rhys and Anniston have had a crush on each other for a while. As they get closer secrets start to come out and people get hurt. Rhys spends 90 days in a rehab to clean himself up and he is determined to make Anniston all his. With her past and the blame she is outing on him he really has to work for it.

This is the third book in the Morgan Family Series. I cannot explain to you how much I love this series. I have enjoyed each book so much that I do not think that J. L. can write them fast enough for me. This is filled with so much passion and the storyline just tugged at my heart. Of course I fell in love with these characters just like I have the entire family.

Review of 60 Days (Morgan Family Series Book 2) by J. L. Leslie

60-days

Friends Before Lovers

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Book Length (Est.): 157 pages

Book Description/Synopsis:

I had everything going for me. I was in a great relationship. I thought things were almost perfect there. Key word. Almost.

Then he asked me to change things up a bit. Try something new. And I agreed.

I never should’ve agreed. He promised things wouldn’t change between us. It would make us stronger. Bring us closer. But for the past sixty days, I’ve been living a lie. I’ve been pretending to be someone I’m not. Pretending to be happy when I’m not. All for him.

I can’t do it anymore. I can’t live like this. Sixty days is long enough. I want my life back. I want myself back. And I’m willing to change who I am to be happy again.

I don’t have to be the same old me anymore. I can become a different person. I can turn over a new leaf. I can try new things. I can even try someone new…

(If you read 30 Days Morgan Family Series: Book One) then you had the pleasure of meeting Blake Morgan. This is her story. It’s a standalone, full-length novel. This book contains mature language, adult content, and sexual situation. It’s intended for mature audiences only.)

Mindy’s Review:

Blake Morgan has the perfect relationship. Her and her boyfriend can try new things and it brings them closer. That is until he asks for the one thing that Blake does not feel comfortable doing. Being the person she is she tries to make her boyfriend happy. She is miserable inside and just does not think she can do this anymore. After sixty days of being miserable she knows she has to talk to him. Going to confront him and finding him with another woman breaks her heart and she knows she has to break up with him.

Weston Fein has everything going for him. He has been signed by the Yankees as a backup catcher. He knows he might not get any real play time but he will give it all that he has. Running into one of his best friends and finding her crying breaks his heart. He knows he wants to take care of her. When his body starts to react to Blake he knows that he could be in serious trouble with her brother.

Blake loves that Weston is concerned and tries to make her have fun. But when Blake starts dating men, Weston knows that he has to put a stop to this and just tell her how he feels.

This was a very fun read. Weston is every girls dream. He is caring, sexy and did I mention a baseball player? Hotness!

I cannot wait to read the next book in the series.
