“In a world of maddening chaos, you tether me to a reality I fear more than anything.”

Genre: Paranormal Romance

Book Length (Est.): 108 Pages

Book Description/Synopsis:

Rich, powerful, and deadly, the Saints serve as guardians for New Orleans, keeping the precarious balance between light and dark. Returning to the city after a self-imposed exile, Cael Saint throws himself into his work to try and drown out the tormented visions in his past. Light magic, dark magic, desperate humans with broken souls: he believed he’d seen it all. Then he met her.

Fiery and untamed, Becca Riley seemed the perfect one night stand to match Cael’s relentless nature. Striding into the local bar, she was confident, passionate, and sexy as hell. But what he took for drunken lust soon spirals into emotional chaos when he realizes she has secrets of her own…secrets that could destroy everything he has sworn to protect.

In a city where magic and humanity intertwine, neither saint nor sinner is safe.

Jennifer’s Review:

*I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review*

Becca never wanted to believe what others said about her mother, but when she becomes a target of those who’d tortured and killed her mother she’ll have to start believing what she’s always know in her heart as truth. Her mother was a witch…and the powers she unknowingly has can destroy everything she’s come to love.

She is a warrior in her own right. Her work takes her to places most wouldn’t dare travel and she loves it. She enjoys the challenge. Nothing or no one will stop her from what she needs to do.

Cael wanted Becca from the moment he saw her across the crowded club, but she was a distraction he didn’t need. Being a Saint he can sense emotions and hers were off the charts. She not only feels many things at once, but she can capture and project emotions without knowing she’s doing it, and that’s a big problem for people like the Saints who use sensing emotions to stop crimes before they happen.

He wanted to protect Becca, but he’ll discover she’s much stronger and more determined than he’d ever have given credit. Although he wants nothing more than to stand in front of her he’ll learn they’re more powerful side by side.

Saint’s Row is an intriguing and suspenseful story that’ll take you deep into the paranormal of Louisiana. The Saints are a unique and interesting people who I look forward to reading more about. I was easily transported into their world and cannot wait to see what book two brings. Not to mention that yes it does in fact end on a slight cliffhanger leaving me wanting more.

“Pride or arrogance…I wasn’t sure what emotion he was emanating, but it caused every tuxedo-clad Saint to turn my direction. Territorial. He was laying claim.”
