Book Description/Synopsis:

Reunited once more, the crew of Baal’s Heart must make the long and treacherous journey south to the towering spires of the Devil’s Isles. The path through the mountain range is fraught with peril; mayhem and tragedy plague the pirate ship, but what the men find beyond the spires is the most shocking of all.

In this sequel to the acclaimed Caged, the pirates are dragged into a dangerous new world by Captain Baltsaros’s all-consuming obsession. In the midst of terror and chaos, Jon learns that the captain and first mate have been keeping secrets from him. But will the truth tear them apart?

Jennifer’s Review:

*I received an ARC of this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review*

I loved Caged and could not wait for the sequel. Let me tell you, it does not disappoint. Jon, Tom, and Baltsaros come back with all the same intensity as in the first book and then some. Their relationships are pushed to new and intriguing depths and the sex is still unbelievably hot. As for the adventure…it’s definitely there. A new land full of craziness that’s sure to get the blood pumping.

With Tom back, Baltsaros will need to find a balance between caring for two men and the jealousy that comes with those two men also loving each other. But for him balance isn’t always that easy, not with the beast that lives within him.

“Go to him, and see if you can’t make some sense of this. Go to him, and help me fix this.”

For Jon, it’s about trusting his gift to lead him to truth. Baltsaros and Tom still hide things from him. They still tell half-truths. But one should always be careful for what they wish as the answers they seek may be too damning to be forgiven or overlooked.

“You hate lying to me,” murmured Jon. “Yet, you fucking do it anyway.”

Tom wasn’t sure if his place was back upon the Heart, but it’s where he’ll end up. Torn between his feelings for both Baltsaros and Jon, he’s not sure what to do and he wonders if anything will be like it was once before. Figuring it out is the hardest part.

“He sees the good in me, Da, plain as day. That’s somethin’ worth fightin’ for. Maybe even dyin’ for.”

Sacrificed continues the unrelenting journey of the Heart and its men. It’ll take you deep into a God fearing civilization built upon sacrifice. There will be those who we lose, but there will also be those who we will gain. Action, adventure, and sex…what a combination!

My Favorite Moment: When Jon and Tom spend a night together that is so passionate words are not needed, for the meaning of those unspoken words will be felt.

My Favorite Laughable Moment: Language lessons. I’m sure anyone could learn a new language with those kinds of incentives.

“You do realize now every time I think of the word ‘cat’, an image of Tom’s mouth around my cock is going to come to mind.”
