Review of Ink (Some Like It Haunted Collection #1) by Ellen Mint

Ink releases October 20, 2020

“…and I obey whatever you demand.”

Genre: Paranormal Erotica

Length: 69 Pages

POV: First Person

One bad boy demon for her birthday…

All Layla wanted was to spend her Halloween birthday alone. She never expected a nearly naked man in a red thong to appear out of nowhere in her living room. He calls himself Ink and insists he’s an incubus bound to her. Not about to fall for that, she plans to toss him out on his shiny butt when she remembers her friends kept hinting at a late birthday present. Layla fears they got her one hot session with a man built for sex. And it’s not nice to return a gift without trying it out…

In this steamy prequel to a paranormal reverse harem series, Layla learns that her entire life has been a lie and that sometimes a man who wants to answer her every desire is exactly what he appears to be.

Jennifer’s Review:

*I received this book free from the author.*

Layla seems to be a ‘too busy for social life because of school’ kind of girl. She does have a few friends, but they are fellow students, and the story doesn’t really go into any more depth about their relationships. What she does with her ‘birthday gift’ made me wish for one myself. But once she realizes it wasn’t what she thought and he’s going to be around for more than just one night….that’s when the sexy turned into reality.

Ink is exactly who he says he is, although no one in their right mind would believe him. And he doesn’t try to hide it from Layla. I love how he can read the desires in her mind. How he knows what she wants and needs even before she does. I think we all need one of these in our lives.

Ink felt like an extremely enticing intro. The sex…OH MY GOODNESS – NEXT LEVEL HOTNESS!!! I know what I’ll be dreaming about tonight. As for a storyline, I didn’t expect much with it being such a short read, however it started getting interesting toward the end and made me long for what could have been one hell of a story. It would definitely be something I’d read if it ever came into existence. Despite the way it ends (me wanting more) I suggest this for date night prequel or even a night home with B.O.B.
